  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY: Cinegears Wireless Follow Focus Christmas Special!

Chris,

Can CineGears provide a list to post of all AKS with their associated prices to include those items deleted from the public vs. RED GB kits?

The items posted a couple of pages back is a great start. Would help in making decisions about the components for our own kits. That would influence my own decision whether in or out….

Steven,

Can you provide the spectrum the 40 channels reside within?

Will the controller be compliant with the FCC white space administration proposed rules?

Thanks!

Guys. Please read the first post as to what's included. It's all itemized out. Some things were removed from that DIY kit since the red trigger was added as Steven was trying to keep the cost down.

No tax or shipping charges for US buyers.

You can go onto Cinegears to look at accessories.

1) Is there California sales tax on this GB?

2) Is anything included in this GB that is NOT included here?

3) How much is S&H?

Right now it sells on the listed web site for $1709 ($1909-$200) with free shipping and no sales tax. I want to make sure this GB is not more expensive than that with everything included.

I must agree. The whole set including 4 extra wheels, 2 marking discs, extended motor mounting, gear relocator is only $110 more expensive than the group buy!!! is that a better offer?

Just looked at the items side-by-side and here are the differences broken down. (Please correct me if I'm wrong.)

GB includes
- RED remote rec start/stop
- 60 day money back guarantee

DIY kit includes
- both 15mm and 19mm rail adaptors
- extended motor mounting bracket 15mm
- 2x marking discs (vs 1 in GB)
- 4x gears with 0.5, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 pitch (vs just 1x 0.8 in GB)
- motor gears re-locator

Currently they're priced almost identically but if we can make it to 35 then the GB becomes $100 less.

I'm leaning towards doing the GB but it seems silly to not have both 15mm and 19mm rail adaptors etc. so would have to buy a few extras. Has anyone completed a list of how much these would be?

The RED trigger alone will sell for almost $200...but who offers a 60-day money back guarantee? You get that in addition to:

1 x Black Cinegears Wireless Lens Control Motor with .8 pitch gear

1 x Black Cinegears Express Wireless Hand Controller with built in battery - battery rated for at least 20 hours - so no external battery needed

1 x Red Epic REMOTE REC Start/Stop TRIGGER CABLE - This will be GREAT!

1 x Black Cinegears Express Wireless Hand Controller Finger Bracket

1 x Black Motor Mounting Bracket 15mm or 19mm Rail Adaptors. You choose at checkout

1 x Mini USB cable for battery charge

1 x 1 x Black Right Angle Lemo Power Cable(Standard 50 cm length) - this is perfect for gimbal use as it's D-Tap and a no-tension lightweight cable

1 x Water Proof Production Case with Foam Inserts

So you're more than welcome to bow out now before it closes if you feel it's a better deal to buy things from that distributor, but I assure you, this is a MUCH better deal. It's difficult to have a universal group buy that includes all accessories that one shooter might want, where another won't need. So it's best to add accessories that you want on the back end, to keep the kit and package as basic as possible and the price the lowest it can be. I think Steven and I have put together a decent package for an amazing price. No, it won't appeal to everyone, but it's a darn good piece of kit.

+1 Thanks Steven He for the quick response. I'm in. Add me for the express version. I'm going to get one of those T3 triple thickness gears.

Best regards,
Collin Martin

Chris, so the price is US dollars? For Canucks it would be converted to CAD$ at checkout? And just to be clear you are saying when converted to Canadian dollars it does or does not include the Canadian sales tax?

Let me get back to you on that.

In for two, not sure which configuration. Can we leave that open till actual order?

Steven said: When they check out, that will be USD only, we do not charge tax at this Group buy, it may have $3-7 Environment protection Tax no body can avoid.

Well the group buy ends tomorrow, so you'll have to decide quickly. I'll put you down for 2 though.
