  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Finally got everyone imported!

Next steps: modify generic invite emails, last looks, batch out (or manually send) invites.

I'm moving everything over to a password protected web shop, so I can manage this better. We have ~300 people in this group buy and close to 700 orders. It's too much to handle in PayPal alone. Once everything is moved over you will be able to login and track your order status (what's been sent, what hasn't), get tracking numbers, see what you ordered, etc. It will also make sending out orders MUCH faster. I will also be posting the tutorial videos and the FAQ on the site, once I get caught up.

I sent your invite yesterday, Eric. Check your email. If you don't see it, email me.

For everyone: I've sent out ~100 invites so far. When you get your invite you need to activate your account and add your shipping address and phone number. Once that is done I will import all your previous invoices. It's a manual process, so your orders won't immediately appear, but I am working on this all day now. Trying to get this done as fast as possible.

Back to work...
 
I was in the original GB but haven't received an invite yet. What's the sender name under so I can check my spam folder?
 
The email subject is RedUser LED Group Buy Account Activation.

I'm getting a lot of messages from people saying they didn't get their invite yet. As I said, I haven't even sent out half the invites yet. I'll post here when they are all sent out. If you still don't have your invite by then, write me. :)
 
Brandon - I got my invite and set up my account. Thanks for getting this step done! I, however , don't yet show any orders in my account. Should that have happened already?

I have to manually add in your orders after an account is activated. Adding in ~700 orders takes time. Yours will be done today or tomorrow. :)

No problem. I had detected a small error/typo in the original name on my account ("verharr" instead of the correct "verhaar") so I wasn't sure if there might be a problem. BTW, I corrected the name on the account so I think everything is in order.

It's tracked by email, so you're all good. Your orders are imported now.
 
Liking the potential for the new site! Immediately clicked on the "Practicals" button - can't wait until there is something there. :-)

I am still a bit in the dark about good power sources for these strips in larger configurations. Admittedly, this DIY approach is a little new to me so I am learning as I go. I do have several desktop power supplies in my order and a "power kit" (don't really remember what that is) but I seem to recall these power supplies won't push too many strips when chained.
 
Having trouble with password, set it up but now can not use...anyone else?

You can set your account password to whatever you want. That's up to you.

The site password is needed just to access the site now because it's not public and only accessible for people in the Group Buy. Think of it like the password needed to get in the door at a Speakeasy.

You need to:
+) Log out
+) Click on 'forgot password' when you log in.
+) You'll get an email that you can Reset you password.
+) That email takes you to a page when you enter & verify your new password.
