I don't see an email from you asking for your stuff to be shipped before the controllers arrive. If you sent a PM I may have missed it. If you want your lights and kits now, let me know and I'll get you in the queue. It's no problem at all.

Kirby, your lights and kits are being boxed up to ship as we speak. Hopefully they get out tomorrow. I will be contacting you by email with tracking info when I have it.

No problem at all. I added you to the queue, Mike. The controllers aren't ready yet, but your lights should ship tomorrow or Monday.

I'm plowing through all your emails (and next PMs) as quickly as I can. This is entirely manual right now and there are ~500 orders to dig through, so please bear with me. Most people are not taking delivery now (fortunately), but it's still a lot to handle and everything is being kept very organized. If we do another one of these, there will be a private web shop and everything will be automated.

Width of variable LED Strips and other questions

I'm sure the information is somewhere in this thread, but I don't find it at the moment.
Can anybody tell me the width of the variable strips, if possible in cm. Do the fixed colour strips have the same width?
I want to buy some aluminium tubes to put the strips in, just need to know which width to buy. Does one glue the strips to the aluminium or is it possible to put them in and take them out, as needed?

Has anybody tried, to use the variable strips without a controler? I think it should be possible to just connect either the daylight or tungsten contact and the minus (or ist it plus, no idea?) with a battery and use it without dimming and colour control.

Would be a great help, if someone could come up with some answers! Thank You!

All the strips are 10mm wide.

You used the double sided tape that comes on the strips to attach them to tubes. You don't want to take them out once they are in. I mean, you can... but the strips will get twisted up.

You can use the variable strips without a controller. Corey posted photos of this a while ago. It's possible, but not ideal.
