Will the new variable controllers power off of D-taps?
Secondly, I've ordered six variable rolls, but only four controllers. I believe I can run two rolls off of one controller, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Good catch Herbert, that's the oneNils,
Your lights look great. Are you using Nite Ize Gear Ties to support / hinge your barn doors? http://ow.ly/M4f1S
Are they just taped to the coroplast, or is there anything else in there?
What are the dimensions of the housing?
Just did a few tests with my lightmeter for the fixture I just built.
For 3.6 meters of daylight strips (6x 60cm), at 800 ISO : I got f5.6+1/2 at 1 meter and f4 at 2 meters.
Hard to say for sure as I haven't a kino here to compare, but I would say clearly more if I had to take a guess (similar size would be a 2 tubes x 2 feet). Feels much more punchy (as is usually the case when you compare led lights and kinos). Would love to compare, though. So less than 1 roll of the led strip. Do you feel like the output is equivilent to a Similar kino fixture? Similar size I mean.

That would be 90 FC at 1 meter, and around 25 FC at 2m.Would you be so kind and supply that info in Foot Candles?
The rails were these, I think : http://www.dichroled.com/documents/155.pdfNils, this looks great. Do you have a part number for the mount you used? And the plastic you have the LED strips under?
Thank you
Thanks Jean,Very nice stuff Nils. Do you or anyone else know about other possibilities for mounts that would fit on a standard light stand (rather than a c-stand). I'm thinking more about total weight (c-stands and baby plates aren't the lightest things around).
