  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: Budget CRI 95 LED Strip Lights

PvEEOJZ.jpg

I do like these, what looks like, frosted polycarbonate tubes.

Our strip light order is now totally locked down. Our lights are rolling down the production line. Any additions at this point will need to be done in another batch. If you want more or you missed the first round of this group buy entirely and want in on this deal PM me (include your email and how much you want). If any are left over they're yours on a first come first serve basis.

If you're interested in grabbing some of these tubes (read the last couple pages, you'll want some) PM me or reply in the thread. I'm making a list.

Very excited to see all this coming together. And there's more to come...

Seems lots of people are interested in the tubes. I'll have the quantity (goal) details soon and then start a list. Basically we'll get 3x more product for our money. I've got 6", 1ft, and 3.3ft (1m) samples en route to me so we won't only have a much better price... we'll have more options.

I'm starting the preliminary list for these tubes. Details are quotes below. If you think you might want in on this deal let me know and I'll add you to the list.

Ok, I found a deal on these aluminum tubes. The exact same ones L-G sells. If we order in bulk they are 1/3rd the cost. Group Buy? Samples are on the way to me...

LED Aluminum profiles are really cool. I bought pre-made ones from Litegear. but they are super easy to make. Very nice quality of light. Great to replace those micro flo/mino flo kinos! Even 15" Kinos.

As for the aluminum profiles, I bought most of my lights premade from Litegear(LiteStix). I did buy a couple aluminium profiles from them separately so I can make custom ones if needed. They also have some one their site that's more of a "spot" look that's not frosted. It's kind of cool, not sure what a good application is yet. but I would recommend sticking with 1 company and sticking with 1 style. Especially if they offer different covers(Frosted, clear, spot, etc) because the ones I bought separately on the Litegear site, I can swap the covers from one another. Not a big deal, but it might come in handy? I think the aluminum profile things are great. all you do is rip a piece of 2" Paper tape(I use Suretape) and roll it onto it's self and stick it to the light and that will stick to anything. I don't really use the double sided tape, other than when I want to make something more permanent.

Tubes are a go for me as well.

Well put me in but I need to be educated on these more ;)

It's really easy. Basically, you stick a strip of LED inside the enclosure (there's 3M tape on the back), slide the diffusion cover on, throw on the end caps and now you, basically, have a kino flo tube that doesn't need a ballast and can run off a cigarette lighter/battery. Great for car stuff. Actually, there are a million ways to use these... I'm getting at least 20 of these (various sizes). Did I mention they are cheap too? :)
