  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: Budget CRI 95 LED Strip Lights

At least 2 more for me. Waiting the PDF to choose accessories (I'd like to cut spools for building a couple of banks, if 1 controller/dimmer can drive 5-7 1mt stripes).
Is there a deadline for specifying exact numbers of spools?
Thanks again

It's definitely possible.

The deadline is this weekend. I'm going to start sending out confirmation emails tonight with the accessories PDF. I probably won't get to everyone until tomorrow. We need to get this done quickly so we can get our lights made before Christmas.

Awesome! I think I will want to change my 2 x D and 2 x T to 4 x V now that the controllers have been sourced, but just waiting for more info and the PDF etc, is that ok?
Once again thanks so much!

See above :)

In in for 2 more, 6 total. 1D 1T and 4V for now but depending on how things shake out the acessories I may be in for all 6-V.

I'm in the same boat

Depending on when we have to commit to the exact quantity will determine how many I want totally.

Just on the off chance I'd want to change my order from V to D or T, why would ANYONE want ANYTHING but Variable if V = D or T? That is, what's to be gained by going either one? Is there a brightness difference? A CRI difference? Or just a couple of bucks difference?

Thanks.

Stephen

I too will most likely change my total (upwards), once I see the PDF with accessories.

Thanks
David

This came up yesterday.

For me, variable is good when I want to dail things in specifically - but fixed daylight or Tungsten will be easier for certain things and (importantly) will only need a power supply (unless you want to run with a dimmer) - but the variable needs a controller to be active. So, I can see for certain situations, it'll be easier just to juice something rather than having to run a dimmer/controller as well.

Andy pretty much sums it up perfectly :)

Is there any doubt that the controllers will be available when the reels are ready?

Stephen

And the budget controllers will control both intensity and color?

Okay, so my question is about the variable controllers. What is the cost and delivery date on those? Obviously, buying variables without controllers won't do much good.

:-)

The Group Buy has not closed yet. Today is the last day though. If you want in you can still get in!

The controllers cost a little under $50 for either type.

Everyone should have everything by the second week of January. If we all pay quickly, so these companies can get started, people could start receiving their orders late this month.

I'm probably gonna bump my order up to 1D 1T and 2V, maybe more. Not sure if you need to know that at this point

Also, I'm wondering if there's any reason you can't wire say 2 lengths of T with 1 D in between, kinda like mixing kino tubes

Hi Brandon!

Count me in for 1xD, 1xT and 2xV.
Plus 3 dimmers/controllers

Thank you for organising the group buy.

Cheers, Klaus

Current order 1(D) & 1(T).
Add 1(V) and two dimmers ( One variable and one standard dimmer) please.

I will likely be upping my order after looking at the accessories pdf.

Thanks for all your hard work on this Brandon!
