Interesting write up. Great work on the film Ryan. Did my first feature Abstraction, on the low as well, using my scarlet - just a bit on a different genre & scale.

Good luck on the next project(s)!

Hey Ryan. Great article! Very informative and very inspiring. Good luck with your film.

Did you end using the 5d mk3, because of the type of SteadiCam you were using?

What type of crew did you have in the Camera Dept?

Doh, if you're gonna be a filmmaker, read some Ray Bradbury -- one of the most brilliant modern authors who ever lived.

But I'm already a filmmaker! Sci-fi short stories aren't my cup of tea, I'm more into Shakespeare & 70's Scandinavian porn.

:sosp:

and i'm not into action, horror, or sci-fi shit... doesn't mean you shouldn't study masters of storytelling. bradbury is one of those guys. you said it yourself you liked sci-fi and horror... meet a master. you remind me of an old friend of mine who studied business at florida state and made a movie about college kids going out in to the woods and uncovering some something after hearing a story around a campfire. if your stuff rises above the level of most low-budget for-financial-fun horror flicks, i'll watch it and recommend it to all my friends, although there are few projects i've ever seen in the genre that have challenged me at all or kept me entertained. some people can't get enough, good for them, good for you - in any case, congratulations on finishing up your first feature, but if you're going to progress i would encourage you to pay attention to things other than what you're already paying attention to (:

who's that tramplin' on my bridge?
