So there's been some talk of the Canon mount. What's the word on a Nikon one? I have a bunch of Nikon lenses I'd like to use when I get my Epic. Suppose a Nikon to Canon adapter would do the trick for my manual lenses right?

Nikon to Canon is an easy conversion that will cost you $100 on ebay.

Yes we do.
A production unit will be sent to Red for evaluation in about a week. :thumbup1:
We are taking orders now...

The Prolock is made by Optitek and is nikon mount that includes a positive locking (PL) mechanism and iris control for Nikon G lenses. I have one for my Red One and Zeiss ZFs. For the occasional use the Red Nikon mount was fine but the Pro lock is a big step up and has made using my Zeiss ZF and occasional Nikon glass a more reliable experience. If your Nikon glass is auto focus it would be worth waiting for a smart mount but if your glass are older AI models go for the Prolock that I understand will be upgraded to fit Epic sometime in the future.

Looks awesome! Estimated price?

DON'T wait for RED.....that's going to be a LONG way off...Jarred already stated they are working first on Cannon mount and Nikon mount would be a long way off. The OptiTek Mount is well worth it and is a real game changer for those with Nikon glass. I use my NEW and OLD Nikon glass alike and the prolok is an integral part of my kit and clearly a fine piece of equipment. Better order fast and get in line.....had mine ordered for about a month now.

Good to know. I will be starting off with a set of Zeiss ZF.2s.

Yeah, I think Jarred said August before the RED Nikon mount is finished. For us Xers, the mount will probably be ready before we get our cameras.
