Hey Jarred - I never received the order that I'm aware of to get the 24mm lens? It looked awesome and was really hoping to pick one up. I did the online "preorder/reservation" thing when it was announced on your FB page. Should I put in another request?

the funny thing for me was that i started an order and got distracted and never finished the order, then a few days later got an email asking if i was ready to make payment, received it a few days after that.
also, im guessing the new handle will have a way to control it as well.

The lenses are in stock, just go order one.

Unless I'm misunderstanding and you already paid and didn't receive... That would be a different issue.

Oh - no didn't pay. I just thought it was a limited deal from the way the facebook page sounded so I put in the pre-order request and just never got a notification to send payment. Awesome - thanks!

you can set preset buttons on the camera montior or handle to focus up or focus down, or use an external controller app like foolcontrol or a hardware controller like the rtmotion / lattitude.

for quasi auto lock focus you can go single in the focus menus on the RED cameras and touch anywhere on the screen to focus on that.. it will focus to that and stay there.

oh wow, i like how it sits on there, i wonder if you can mount it on the other side as well in the space where the sidekick or handle would be. also that way the cables can be on one side.

You can map the focus throw range of the lens to be as many (or few) rotations of the FoolControl virtual focus wheel as you want.

How are you guys liking this lens? Is there more test footage examples out there? I was looking at getting one, but wanted to see more footage and get opinions.
