  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Gauging interest in BRIGHT TANGERINE FOLLOW FOCUS

Just checking to see if there's been any updates on release and group buy rates...thanks!

If you go to the BrightTangerine website and click on Follow Focus, you will notice that the hand wheels for the Revolver and Atom are noticeably different than before. I'm assuming it was a functionality vs aesthetics decision - more of an ARRI style knob designed for better grip.

As for updates on group buy rates, I don't think anyone knows yet.

Yes indeed!

There is a new material, which replaces and has also delayed the shipment of the Group Buy. The good news is that, at least, the retail price has not changed, because of that enhancement!

As soon as more details are available I shall post here.

Thank you very much

Yes, my understanding after a little conversation with Andy was that they wanted to test the follow focus in the field with some experienced AC's pn a few features first before release, and based on the feedback decided to go back to the drawing board for the knob style. I would think staying closer to an Arri style knob makes sense because my 1st AC's for instance rely on muscle memory and a very tactile relationship to what they do all day - which is pull focus. Just worked with a great one in Australia by the way, and I am in total reverance for what they do.

Hi Scott,

Waiting as well.

I'll do 2 units depending on price.

They released an advertisement video the other day with the following message: "To all Bright Tangerine lovers, present & future, this one is for you. We've worked tirelessly on this very special piece of kit and we are still plugging away. So, stay tuned!"

Hi ALL!

There should be info forthcoming early next week, if all continues on the current, very encouraging pathway.

Thank you very much

I hope the Atom version still has the Nikon reverse switch... that's the main selling point for me, personally.

The website list price in Euro is less than the USD price in this group buy. What is the discount price for people in Europe? Or is it better to just order from the website directly?
(For the Revolvr Atom Cine the price from Euro €1229 to USD adds up to $1399, not $1649)
