  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

foolcontrol-r

Having run the app on both the iPhone and iPad, if you have the choice, the iPad offers better control from the simple fact it's a larger screen, i.e. more data points.

That is really good to know as I have an iPad Mini and an Android phone. Glad to know that I won't have to pick up a used iPhone just to run this app!

It really depends how you connect...
In general camera will accept only 1 connection at a time on wifi but underwater you have no wifi anyway....
if you use ethernet port on an epic / scarlet you can connect up to 8 devices and will need a wifi router for iOS access.
Have not tested simultaneous connection via CTRL port / s232 adapter for the OS X version on DSMC2 but will try to run a test (will also require a wifi router on surface).

Thanks.

BTW I shoot out of the water too :-)

Merci mille fois.... Et je promis a acheter l'autre version toute suite. Incroyable !!!!!

merci Peter :-)

working on the native iPad UI right now too for the next upgrade so iPad experience will get even better soon.
That's a lot of button and stuff to adapt, re-arrange and tweak on a good dozen pages but it is a huge improvement compared to scaled mode... more than I thought it would be :-)

Great news, iI was wondering if youre gonna go down that route

Thanks

That iPad UI upgrade is going to look awesome!!! Thanks for your efforts Mikael, it is much appreciated!!

Is it done yet?

I just finished a few hours ago. Adding one last thing (new gimbal, simplified page with linear focus control) and will be submitted to Apple shortly... Expect it before NAB :-)

I'm looking forward to the linear focus control. Thanks Mikael, you really are a serious contributor to the Red experience.

thanks Robert, btw, nice avatar with lots of colors :-)

I wasn't copying you but I did notice that our concepts are very similar. Mine is meant to be an aperture / sun.

It is very nice, I did not meant in a bad way... and just to be clear I did not invent the triangle nor have a patent on any 7 rainbow colors logo :)
