  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

First Look - Schneider Xenon FF-Prime Lenses

I will soon and some people will have these lenses this week, so footage will pop up.

Epic Dragon and Dragon related testing is my priority this week because I need to know the ins and outs "everything" about it before it works on jobs. Which will yield useful info for others queued up for the upgrade or purchase.

My Xenons are just a few hours away at this point. Will play with them over the next few days as time allows. I might have a chance to get them on Dragon as well this weekend.

That's all I have to say...
 
Mine haven't been delivered yet. The 2-day shipment missed two consecutive flights (apparently) from the Memphis hub and even though they were to be delivered today, they didn't get into town until this evening. After waiting around for them all day and then complaining, the best I could do is request they hold them for pickup at my local FedEx location. They would attempt delivery tomorrow, but I have too many things to do and can't wait around for them. Hopefully I can pick them up tomorrow. However, since "they're really busy with holiday packages" I may not be able to pick the lenses up until saturday or maybe even monday. WTF???

FedEx is usually good to me and I don't have troubles. This is a complete FAIL. What's sad is I had a handful of FedEx packages actually delivered today, several of them went through the Memphis, TN hub, several of them arrived in Memphis after my lenses and left nearly a whole day before the lenses got through there. I'm worried there might be a problem, but the customer service lady couldn't tell me any more than what was on the tracking info.

Glad you got yours, Ketch! How do you like them?
 
My new set of 3 Xenons arrived yesterday...Fedex and the usual driver had a helper...No Red hats, though. I have to say the packaging-original and in Matthew Duclos' custom six hloe case is just top notch. Need Dragon.

Took nearly all day to get my lenses from FedEx. Nothing wrong, they just did a poor job at getting this shipment where it needed to be on any sort of reasonable schedule. If I had not held it for pickup and complained repeatedly and loudly and drove to FedEx and demanded they round them up, they would not have been delivered until monday. Wow. Assholes.

Anyway, the Xenons are beautiful. I'll have to play with them more this weekend.
 
Still in preproduction for an other couple of weeks here in Barcelona Spain...

We'll review them on Dragon and post with images to boost... But what I love about them off the shelf is their physical size very similar to the new Leica Summicron C., small compact, lightweight, making them perfect for Brushless Gimbals and all of the same size, which makes them great for balancing and fast lens changes with MB and FF, same front diameter so not to have to change donuts on MB also great... FF coverage on Dragon priceless... ;)
