Hello gang, this is one I've alluded to for months... and believe me, it's been tough sitting on this project for over 6 months of protracted post production without revealing what we were upto, but I'm thrilled to finally be able to share this little spec piece Joseph Kahn and I did with a couple of Dragon cameras and some anamorphic lenses.

This is essentially a not-for-profit "fan film" and we make no claim to own any rights to the Power Rangers brand, so with out any further delay, please enjoy and share the link freely. I encourage all to watch and ask questions, the more energy and activity I see generated here, the more I'll share, so help spread this labor of violent love all across the interewebs!

Thanks to Jarred and Brent for the help on this.

UPDATE: The producers of the Power/Rangers short and Joseph Kahn have successfully won the battle to have all of the original links to Power/Rangers restored and permission from Saban to allow the exhibition of the material indefinitely. Yay team!

So here is the original link was deleted by YouTube...

Love it! Great cinematography, more and more love the Dragon. Damn skin tones look so yummy! My guess is you shot this with highlight protection OLPF? What compression? Love seeing practical lights in shot not blowing out and/or rolling off nicely. Thanks for sharing!

Trending big time on FB. Views are bound to go through the roof.

Great job! I watched the whole thing even though I only planned to skim through.
As a kid, I used to watch the show. Glad you focused on the human to human combat instead of the giant robot fights that the show always ended with, which was usually boring.

What VFX software was used?

Chris... Chris.... You are beyond talented, as in, your imagery here is up with the best of the best.

LOVE IT!

Vimeo link is crashed! Haha! YouTube version still available!

Nice,
It probably will not take long before you guys have someone paying you quite well to make more of it.

Really nicely shot and very tasteful and well executed VFX work all the way through.

Christopher,

Awesome job sir! Very well done. Hopefully someone sends this over the guys at Lionsgate as their in pre-production now for a reboot Power Rangers film (Summer '16 release I believe)...with something like this, you should definitely be involved with the project and probably running something with it lol! Congrats in advance!
