Hi all,

Resolve now supports Ofx plugins, and we have released FilmConvert as a compatible plugin.

You can download a trial version here.

FilmConvert is a Film-stock emulation plugin. It transforms footage to match the look of 19 different film stocks.

Click below for more info, or feel free to ask me here.

Thanks!

I have realtime playback in resolve at 1/4 resolution with plenty of nodes. Will using film convert be real-time as well?

As a follow-up question to this, does Film Convert do its processing mainly on the GPU or CPU?

Dual Xeon so 2 CPUs and 3GPUs and a RR in Resolve 10. But this is also 5K footage and some complex grades.

Right, so the plugin will only utilise one GPU itself. Are all your GPUs the same spec? I'm wondering if the plugin is picking the best one or not.
If you zip up our logs folder and send it through to support@filmconvert.com, we may be able to improve the speed for you.

The folder is:
/Users/YOUR_USERNAME/Library/Application Support/RubberMonkey/Logs
or
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\RubberMonkey\Logs

Thanks

How do you uninstall the ofx plugin on Mac?

Log to log conversion?

Log to log conversion?

Can you convert to log or the equivalent of a film scan, without a print LUT applied?

I do not know if I exactly understand your question, but if you mean to export DPX sequences or something else after the grading is done, at the moment of exporting turn off the node that you placed the plug-in. I usually use a track node, not a clip node, to place the OFX with the desired stock emulation, so you can just turn it off that one right before exporting, hence it serves as a "Display LUT" during grading, but do not get burned-in on your final product.

Hope this answers your question!
