  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Every once in awhile...

Sounds big. This must be either Dragon related or about consumer 4k products, methinks. Either way, when Jim is happy everyone interested in no-compromise imagery benefits.

I'm thinking "light field sensor" but I could be waaaay off here. Either way, I'm sure whatever is being brewed rocks ;)

+1 thats what will make the big change 6k 2000iso light field that pretty much change everything.

No Matter what your Political Affiliation is, you cannot deny that Red Digital Cinema has been beneficial to the American People.

Honestly, I would not be where I am today, and would have been unable to start my business in California if Red had not existed.

Thanks for giving us hope and inspiration here at home, and impacting the world at large by continuing to push the boundaries of technology in a way that can only be compared to the early days of the Personal Computer.

Best,

Dan

Hehe, Jim being that excited can only be great. Can't wait to see what you're talking about. No doubt that it'll underline your leader-ship and increase the gap between RED and the competition. You get my excited with your posts, even without any information. :)

And btw, it's great to be a tiny little part of that RED family.

Should i mention that i still have a big smile in my face every time i shoot with my Scarlet and look at the footage later? :)

hehe, yes! IF....wait let me rephrase that. When this happens (no idea when) this will absolutely revolutionize the cinema world. It is only a matter of time ;)

ooh..aah he he, you got to love a good tech tease tickle!
RED has become the cutting edge in digital "cinemaphotography" and what is coming will surely be outstanding.
Oh, consider the possibilities with the product lines they already have, never mind the genius of RED's new tech concepts!
What about the future of REDLink -private wifi inter-connections around the globe in R3D real time? My cam connected to your cam...? How many of us are ENG lovers?

And what about the future of REDVolts? I'd bet RED has some great improvement ideas for their existing designs. Take this as an example of tech that emerged around the same time as Scarlet was released:

Woe to those who have abandoned REDVolts completely. Jim & Team RED are full of spectacular surprises and it's anyone's guess what will be!
Then there's new RED Tech possibilities...what about 4K+ 3D hologram capture and projection?
see: http://www.popsci.com/science/artic...es-generate-smallest-3-d-hologram-pixels-ever

You just got to love Jim's tech tease tickle! This is probably why Jared always says "He...He..."

I cannot wait to see the future JIM. Cuz I know and we all know is around the corner... come on man spit it out! I am here waiting with a beer on my left hand and the mouse on the right scrolling!!!! I've had 1 beer too many for weeks... hehehehe

with regards to "Are you watching closely", nothing would make me happier as an Epic owner than to see Wally Pfister shoot his next feature on a Dragon sensor.

That'd be something. On the other hand, Ridley was "a film man" once, too. so who knows... :)
