  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC QUAD BATTERY MODULE

Yeah -once we get the quad module, which is not yet available. But for the Side Module you have to do this. Good thing the boot time is only 10 seconds, not like the MX!

Hey Tim,
Can you also put some kind of top mount/cheese plate on top of the quad module?

"arggggggoshhh . *^%()^&*^R^(^)

:-))) they dont need to be changed every twenty mins! you just do a batt swap after an hour or so when you are down to the last batt."

Ahhh, yes I see. But I still think the XL batteries are the way to go. Fewer batteries :)

I'm telling you right now. you dont have an EPIC until you have this module. please ship them ASAP! ;)

Got back late this afternoon to this wonderful surprise courtesy of Jarred and RED ... FIRST... let me say... this is one of the COOLEST module locking systems... (illl take detailed pics when i have a better camera)
but at first Im like... whoa, thats fits loose... but underneath, there is a latch. quarter turn with an ALLEN and it secures the Module... ROCK SOLID! (after you bolt on the Module Adapter of course, which is the spacer you see
between the EPIC and the QUAD MODULE)

The days of powering down to change batteries is ALL BUT OVER FOLKS!

Been pulling out random VOLTs... as long as 1 stays in... Keeps on going and going... I have been leaving it on now for 1:45 minutes recording boring camera charts in my prep room
and haven't powered down once! (MAN I NEED A QUAD CHARGER THOUGH TO KEEP UP!)

Appears to power SEQUENTIALLY... which is great.. only ONE RED VOLT powers at a time... so its easy to keep track as you go (because its a prototype... in camera batt level momitoring is not enabled yet)

Here few CRAPPY iphone photos... will take much better ones tomorrow and in the field... meantime - jarred wanted me to TEASE you guys... :)

Is this the "Pro Battery Module"? If not, what's the difference?

Yes, that's the pro battery module. Well, actually it's the Quad version of the Pro Battery Module. There is also a dual version in the works that holds two batteries instead of four.

Thanks. Which one comes with a Stage-2 Epic-X? The two battery one? Or the four battery one...

any chance of getting the dual battery module with stage 2 instead of the quad? Quad seems to add a lot of bulk for the run time. I might rather use Aton Bauer or Red Batts with that size and weight tradeoff.

Me want a RedVolt 4 place charger for Christmas
