Today in Dubai, my superiors and I had the joy of being possibly the first to shoot the EPIC with the Canon 1200mm. We wanted to share with our fellow filmmakers some pictures of such a remarkable combination of kit. In addition to the 1200mm, we also attached the 2X Canon TeleConverter which made it a 2400mm lens.

We look forward to sharing footage and more pictures from shooting with this lens, as well as our additional ventures with shooting EPIC...

The Torque, The Torque! Putting the TI mount through it's stress test...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The Epic may not look it in that picture but its still kind of heavy to have hanging off the end of that lenses.

Joseph,

People may want to know that this is one rare lens. I believe Canon only made slightly over a dozen and they only made them after receiving an order for 2. And then they took a year. They won't make them now so that is a rare beast. Glad you finally tested that heavy piece of rare glass. Happy to have been a small part of this whole thing.... Now I just have to come visit you and our friend in Dubai

Cheers,

Peter

Yes! Thank you Peter for taking time out of your busy day to check this lens out. It's a beautiful chunk of glass.

Also, it would be fitting to give a shout out to Ketch Rossi for helping us find the lens. Thanks buddy!

Can you show us how you transport That Len's????
