The Riser and Audio-Riser are now shipping. The "Top mount pro" and "Power distributor" are in the works. Both accessories expand the EPIC brain to a new level, by adding the missing links: Power sockets and better accessible BNC's - enjoy!

Bottom mount featuring:

-2 x 3.5mm jack plug to Pro XLR at rear
-acts as spacer to use industry standard base plates
-accepts upcoming 15mm light weight rod assembly
-Tape measure hook on left and right

15mm light weight rod assembly featuring:

-Works with Audio-Riser
-Protects 3.5mm Audio Plugs and hides them neatly
-15mm DSMC centered standard

Top mount Pro features:

-power sockets the EPIC lacks (requires power source like a V-mount battery).
-Provides BNC connectors for HD-SDI (the current EPIC BNC is located in a difficult to get spot and this is an very important BNC)
-SS/GPI; TC; GENLOCK BNC's (rather than the small 4pin connector the EPIC uses).

Power distributor features:

-rugged Battery mount for the EPIC (V- Mount, Anton Baur, ect.); can be mounted so battery looks down for more compact configuration
-use of different power sources over RED 5pin Lemo and industry standard 4pin XLR.
-also it brings the Audio plug to a user friendly location
-provides stabilized 12V and 24V power sockets.


All milled with swiss precision and 7075 grade aluminum

Okay, having had a little time reviewing this on my MBP instead of my iPhone... , two things are to be immediately considered, when using the camera in a standard 2D configuration you will need to clear the bottom at Dovetail high,
so not o be obstructed when sliding the camera forward, when operating in 3D, if using ET's Atom, were the cameras are mounted via a special Top plate then the Battery needs to be no higher then the top plate or it will obstruct its movement on the top mounted dovetail, so need to choose carefully which one does you best, or if like us that we shoot both 2D and 3D then you ned both ways, at list till RED releases their Battery Modules with Hotswap capability, which would be also a great add on if this could have such capacity, but it is understood this will add size and weight,

Brian, are you testing this on an Actual Epic M? If not It will be a pleasure to test them on one of ours here in Rome, and then returned to you, or most then likely keep them as we would be surely buying them both types, as it is a much better solution then out current ones were a battery plate is attached via Rods and or Clip with dangling cables.

Probably the EPIC will be further back - but don't think that is a problem, just might not look to cool - maybe drill some holes into the SIM plate?

This Sim base plate uses the first 3/8 and the third 1/4 holes from the lens side on the Red one.Won't the EPIC be too far behind?

We have updated our Audio - Riser Plate to an Audio Adapter. This is modular and can be added to any existing stand alone EPIC Riser Plate. We have extended the pre-order sale because of these updates. This new version was made based off criticisms from testing and feedback, and allows easier access to cables and plugs on the back of the camera. The Audio-Riser is no longer a standalone plate, but an attachment for our riser plate. Those who have already bought the first version of the Audio-Riser Plate can upgrade to the new version for free, keep the old version, or keep both (paying half price for the old version, discounted price for new). It is important to know that our old style of these plates are perfectly functional and great quality, we only changed the layout as style preference based off of feedback. We will be shipping the first style of these Audio-Riser Plates right away to the customers that already ordered them so they will be able to work while they decide which of the 3 options they will want to do.
