  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC accessories from ActionProducts

This looks great, but why on earth on this fantastic industry leading camera does it have 3.5 jacks in the first place.........

I can understand why they did it, some ops are looking for super light weight rigs. I just don't see 3.5mm being an industry standard any time soon, which is the main reason for this product :thumbup1:

Here is Vincent Laforet's EPIC camera test footage shot during his first week with the Red Epic M - Serial # 308. ....epic

Mini jacks for audio in stripped down rigs is a great option, using the Pro I/O module when it ships will be more industry standard and presumably more bulletproof. In the meantime...

Just curious if 15mm Studio offset is on the roadmap, in SoCal it's the standard ( I blame Denny Clairmont ;-)

Design looks good, I'll be waiting by my mailbox for my free samples ;-)

Cheers - #19

Yea, this is the idea behind the audio riser, not to mention how extremely cost effective the product is.

It's never too soon to get your accessories, but at the same time, I can see it being hard knowing EXACTLY what accessories you will want out of the box.

This looks sick, when you guys make an Audio Riser for the Scarlet, I'll be first in line.

Now your prototype audio riser doesn't have the mini-jack protector shown in the renders, has this changed?

Brian, Justin:
I emailed this quesiton:
how will the audio XLR jacks affect adding modules? is this taken into account and the XLR jacks WON'T be in the way of any modules added to the back of EPIC?

As far as I can say by the stuff I saw a NAB, the Audio riser will NOT affect adding modules.

Regards
Brian
