  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC accessories from ActionProducts

And last but not least - showing the tilt ability for perfect shoulder adjustment ...

sleek job!

Beautiful work Daryl. I'm very keen to buy.

Just wondering, is the pad attached to the aluminum with velcro?

That would a good thing for me, because I might need to adjust the pad position for some setups (when in studio mode on tripod to avoid interfering with the tripod sliding base plate.).

THANKS!

I'm pretty sure it is attached with velcro, as all the ActionProducts Shoulder support systems, so yes you'd be able to move it.

Velcro - has proven (for us) to be the best solution for the pad. By the way. A second pad to put between comes with the mount - for all that like it soft ... :-).

Mine is ordered and it arrives (from Switzerland, I think) on Wednesday, just in time for a two week doco shoot. This looks like the perfect solution for quick switches between sticks and hand-held, with very flexible configurations. I haven't quite figured out yet how I will mount my V-Block battery to the mounting point on the back of the pad, but those decisions are all part of the process. Cant wait! Thanks Daryle.

Our TopPlate is made of 7075 Airspace Aluminum, offers several 1/4" and 3/8" treads. As mentioned before it comes with a female 2pin LEMO connector for power supply. This allows to connect basically any adapter cable. All pre-orders ship with a P-Tap AB adapter cable.

Could you guys offer the P-Tap to 2 pin battery cable separately? That is a killer cable to have for any Vlock battery plate that has a P-tap (D-tap) female out, which most do.

PLEASE? Also, how long is that cable? The other thing that is missing out there is a Vlock mount with a 18-20" 2 pin Lemo for the Epic. Build that and you'll sell a bunch!

Thanks,

M

Hi Daryl,

Maybe I missed this, but does your bottom plate work with the RED quick release system? Can I attach the RED bottom plate to the bottom of your plate? Or does interfered with the locking mechanism?

If it does work, would the 19mm rod height now be off from standard spacing?

I love the audio outs and your 15mm adapter that protects the input leads.

M

Hi Mark
You can mount the RED quick plate to our bottom plate, but yes, 19mm rod height is off - this is only an issue if you are using a mattbox that can NOT be adjusted in height. Focus motors an so should be no problem with the extra height.

Thanks Brian,

I wold be using an Arri MB20II most of the time on the 19mm rods and occasionally an Arri MB 14 when using an Angie 24-290.

Do you happen to know if they can be adjusted to compensate for the difference in height?

Also, can you answer my other question about the battery cables in post 247?

Thanks!

Mark

hi Brian, didn´t read through all 25 pages, but i was very impressed by the ELEKTRA renderings on the first page. Any news on that device ?

Mark

We have D-Tap to 2pin Lemo (0B size) on stock - contact ActionProducts or Inocinema for details. Generaly we can make any cable you want, just send us the details:).

thanks Brian, good to hear :)

Do you know if the Elektra will work with the Red Shoulder Pad, from the renderings on page 1 it looks it might interfere with the pad ?
Attached you´ll see a side view of the red quick release platform with the shoulder pad attached.
The shoulder pad is about 2,5cm higher than the camera mounting plate.

thanks
Manuel

I don't have a RED shoulder pad - you got me any details on this - might just be able to work it in last minute:)

if we could actually screw both ends of the pad, from the bottom plate, to I/o module to the electra... it would be huge. A permanent a lightweight shoulder pad.

Brian, i can take measurements for you and send you photos or even the pad, since i´m still waiting for my X,
just let me know what you need.

best you send me a mail at
