  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Element Technica have been busy....

Absolutely love the craftsmanship and design Steve, you guys did a fantastic job... AGAIN!!

Is really great that the Switchblade can be placed while having the Armor... Since it will be glued to DragonM8... :)

However...

For me to adopt this GREAT Armor not doubt, I would simply need to have an other opening on top of the RED opening to show M8... Can you customize one for me... ;)

The green anodizing is real Donald. Here's a little back story for you. Element has tried several different accent colors over the years. We started out with Red, but we later toyed around with various shades of Grey and even some Nickel Plated finishes. Since the industry dictates that everything be more or less Black, the accent color is one way for manufacturers to set themselves apart from one another. When you think of Red as an accent color, I'm sure there are certain manufacturers that you think of...same with Blue and Grey. In fact when you said Silver, a certain competitor came to my mind...but I'll refrain from mentioning them! ;)

We put our heads together and came up with Green. I've seen it out there before, but not very often. From a psychological perspective, Green symbolizes balance and growth...which was also something that resonated with us.

We certainly hadn't planned on offering different colors. As you can imagine, that can start to become a logistical nightmare at some point. With that being said, let me consider it a little bit more and get back to you. We definitely want to be as accommodating as we can be...within reason of course.

Thanks Ketch! We're glad you like it!

The window that you see on the side is actually going to be larger in the shipping version of the product so that "DRAGON" is visible. But we were afraid that if we also opened it up to display "M8" that there would be very few mounting options left.

I think I may have an alternative solution to solve this problem though. I'll let you know once I've had a chance to look into it...

BTW Steve, DragonM8 has the Mini SSD Module... :)

Great to hear Steve. I understand your reasoning behind the color branding but, for me, it is a little too much in the Monster Energy drink color vein for my liking. The cosmetics of this thing is otherwise really interesting/great. For me to ditch my current body protection/cage set up and invest in this I`d need to love it from the ground up.

I guess a lot of owners will have money in cage/protection already so for those guys it is quite a commitment.
 
I thought that as Element technica is now part of RED the most suitable accent colour might as we'll be red.

If you have the RED quickplate module you can use another vmount plate and hotswap pretty easy.

there are many options. Hot Swap Plate, Red Quick Plate, stackable batteries like the PAG's, hot swap cable, block battery with correct cable.
 
We've been talking quite a bit internally about the Side Handle discussion that started on this thread. We definitely don't want to prevent people from using this kit if they find the Side Handle's added utility a necessity. We've added an additional permutation of the kit that has a smaller Camera Right Side Plate to facilitate the use of the Side Handle. Check it out, and forgive the 3D printed prototype pic...I didn't want to delay showing this to everyone:

We will offer it separately Uros. It has M3 threads, so if you want to use it on a different top plate the plate would need to have an M3 threaded hole on the sensor plane, and then you'll be good to go.
 
Steve, is the ET armor compatible with the RED tactical Top Plate (v2.0)?
