Big build.. a ton of fixes across the board.

Make sure you format your mags after you install this build, and no roll back so don't do it in a middle of a shoot :)

Enjoy!

Correct, they are both Epic-W :)

Lol, yeah I put gaffers over all the logos so now these 2 are impossible to tell apart, was easier with the Scarlet-W now he's the odd man out! First shoot with the Gem tomorrow, think I'll wait to updated :)

Any love for those of us still shooting on Epic Dragon? Haven't seen a new firmware in ages!

Not sure its possible, but any chance we can get a fix for the canon 18-80mm lens to have focus and iris work from the side handle?

Was all pumped to fly this lens on the movi pro and do some zoom shots with it and my RT-motion setup when you guys added "support" for the lens a few firmware updates ago. Turns out that support did not include focus, iris, or image stabilization- it only included lens data. Perhaps its just not possible, but would be great to know one way or the other.

Wasted a bunch of $ renting this lens for last shoot. Perhaps next lens support you add you can be more specific in what you mean by support. Something like "Support for Canon 18-80 not including focus, iris, or image stabilization"

Thanks for the new features!
Danny.

I would love to hear from any of the brave if this FW build offers any speed improvements on FW7? Specifically boot up time, laggy menu response and the agonizing time it takes to do a 1:1 focus zoom in check? As you can’t roll back I am not willing to try it as it might be worse!

I've skipped all previous v7 and went straight to this one. Boot time is ~36 sec. Menu lag seems consistent with v6 firmware and 1:1 zoom the same as before (around 2sec). This is playing around for a couple of hours... I'm on Epic-W.

Thanks for the Motion mount fix. It came a day late though as today on a job i hesitated for a moment and eventually i decided to rather put it back to its box to avoid grading headache. Looking forward to testing it with the new fw.

A second of screen glitch when switching from REC to Magnify, or REC to Playback mode, and vice versa. Scarlet-W. (see the video)

A flash of vertical lines on the monitor (striking through the GUI as well).
Should I try reinstalling?

Edit: it's also happening in playback mode when loading the next or previous clip

Edit 2: changing the resolution also does that..

I have not been able to update my camera with UDF formatted cards. Three different cards wouldn't load it. It would boot up normally and erase the force_upgrade folder. FAT32 has worked every time.

Pretty much the same, but here are my results.

With IPP2 pipeline enabled, Epic-W Helium:

7.0.1

Boot:
~17 secs to splash screen
~20 seconds picture
Total: 37 seconds

Toggle Magnify: ~3.5 seconds

7.0.2

Boot:
~15 secs to splash screen
~21 seconds picture
Total: 36 seconds

Toggle Magnify: ~3-5 seconds - it punches in to picture at 3, but has to do a frame refresh thing where it flashes* and then shows again, that process makes it take a total of 5 seconds.

Edit: Actually, exactly what Audy just showed. I'm on Epic-W.

I am also getting the flash of vertical lines when going in and out of Magnify, I am also now getting an F stop of 2.9 instead of 2.8 on my Canon 16-35mm L series lens. This happens on my RAVEN with 4.7 inch monitor. EPIC-W with 7inch monitor has the delayed glitch when toggling magnify but actually does not show vertical lines but does still show 2.9 for the canon lens highlighted in yellow vs the RAVEN showing in white until I stopped down to 5.6 then back to this 2.9 now it is white but no 2.8.... so strange, I never usually update this quickly but since I had some down time I went for it... Hoping a fix comes quickly since we can't roll back.

Update - Tried Canon 50mm 1.2 and got the strange 2.9 again but this time 2.8 was available so I selected it and the 2.9 went away and now I have 2.8 However, I have no 1.2 best I have is a 1.3 so strange, I tried advanced menu and initialized lens but no change. Also Hardware rediscover had no positive impact.
