What are those two screw holes, labeled M3, under MINI MAG socket, used for?

It appears that those M3 holes are for attaching hardware expansions for the DSMC2 body. For instance, like the custom camera body shells that RED has been producing for film makers like David Fincher and Michael Bay.

The design for Bay is called The Ranger, and it appears that at some point, RED will take that concept to market for the rest of us to purchase. Also, for Fincher, RED designed a product called The Underbite, which is a hardware Remote Follow Focus solution, designed specifically for the Leica Summilux lenses, that attaches to the camera body with the help of those M3 points. I have a feeling that an offshoot of that may come to market at some point too.

To this date though, no products have been officially released that take advantage of those mounting points.

Maybe someone asked before, but i can't find this information.

DSMC2 does not provide an external HDMI or SDI output on the brain, and we need for this to had an external module. But when we want to use Scarlet-W under a drone with the smaller form factor and the lighter weight, is there a way to catch video signal without module, to send throw Amimon Connex (HDMI entry) ?

Thanks if someone knows a solution for example to pick on the monitor port and convert in a HDMI output without module.

you will need a module for HDMI out... and you will need one anyway to simply power the camera as the DSMC2 brains have all their connectors (including power IN) on external modules
(It is much easier and faster to fix your camera in case a connector breaks)

for drone work you should look into RED Jetpack or Jepack SDI module ...

It's what i thought, thanks for your answer. So Scarlet-W is not 1590gr but 1590g + 253g minimum
