  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DRAGON about to land on door step, but EPIC X is still amazing.

Could be anywhere in the world today.
Shooting a job this year in New Zealand, I had to track a few miles between locations, so I thought what the hell, I'll ping off a few shots while on the way.
Thought it was a waste if I didn't share some of the images with you, as the shots were more than likely going to be sitting on a drive until forgotten about or trashed...

I still think the images that come our of the EPIC M (X) are stunning, even though Ive been lucky to be able to shoot DRAGON, I still think the current EPIC X gives you a great image.
Well done RED.

Best watched in HD ful screen if you can.

I'm just pretty shocked at the DR (in a good way).

Can you share a bit about lenses, aperture, filtration etc.

To me, those mountain ridge shots in sunlight and shadow tell a lot about the resolving power, along with the snow and the shadow detail in the foliage. The backlit stuff on the water is scary good. I just can see so much in your tests.

Thanks for sharing.

Shit Toia. This actually made me slightly anxious and wanting to get my hands on Dragon sooner, but loving my EPIC X.
Pause.
Breathe.
Patience.

All things in due time.

Absolutely stunning footage, Mark! Was any of this shot with your Hasselblads?

Edit, ahh Mikael says Angie 24-290...

David, you did realise that this is shot with the MX sensor, right?

Shooting with the RED EPIC 5k camera inside a SHOTOVER stabilised camera system with a 24-290 Angenieux Lens

Love the shot at 3:30.

Some of the shots of the helicopters reminded me of Black Hawk Down!

And during the waterfall sequence, I was expecting the Na'vi to come flying in.

I think it's time to get out to New Zealand!!

Love the waterfall zoom action! Impressive as always Mark.

Too bad some of the light was a little harsh (probably close to noonish so nothing you could have done anyway).

I can't wait to see what you do with the Dragon outside your torture test. That Dragon is in some very capable hands. Please share when have something Mark. Cheers.
