  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Damn, was really hoping that this was a note to say that a film of the classic video game of the same name was being shot on Epic...

I guess this will do though :p
 
im just wondering is this completely new sensor and technology than Mysterium?? because Tiffen Schneider and other IR Filters just garbage on Epic (except Formatt) should we expect for different OLPF on Dragon?

BTW, what its really impressive is that the image is this good with a lifeless creature, imagine if this thing was alive?

Appreciate the update guys...just hopping on the plane to Berlin and the EFM.

My feature Path Of Souls (shot with our two Epic M's) is showing twice in 4K and some of the folks from Red Germany are showing up...I don't know how many other features have a 4K DCP like us, but I'm really stoked to see what it looks like!
 
Higher pixel density sensors like this are usually diffraction limited way before f/11. The D800E limit is about f/5.6. So that's yet another way in which we ain't seen nothin' yet.

So impressed, guys.
 
Hoping to see 9k 36x24mm soon.
But wouldn't mind a 70mm sensor either. :- )

Red needs to take the lead again... 4k is so 2012.

any idea of what kind of performance we'll be getting with 6k footage out of a current red rocket? any kind of foreshadowing to an update for this card? Might be a good hint for anybody on the fence getting a rocket right now so they don't have to drop almost 5k on a card right before a new one is on the horizon. Unless the idea is, you'll need 2 rockets for real time for dragon footage...
