  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Double Dragon....

Awesome picture! Can't wait to upgrade!
What kind of lighting setup did you use to get f/11 with 86 fps at 180 degrees? And was it daylight?

Appreciate the update guys...just hopping on the plane to Berlin and the EFM.

My feature Path Of Souls (shot with our two Epic M's) is showing twice in 4K and some of the folks from Red Germany are showing up...I don't know how many other features have a 4K DCP like us, but I'm really stoked to see what it looks like!

Have a great trip Jeremy!!

Jarred/Jim....amazing!!

Very nice!!!!

And everything what I would like to get from RED new sensor is already written on my new avatar.

Also I expect the best from all those specification will be delivered with Dragon...

I could handle a Dragon sensor without global shutter. But it's definitely the problem RED should tackle before any more resolution or dynamic range are added to Dragon's successor.

We're gonna need new lenses.

I think it's going to be more important to have quality glass. And there's a few options out there. Especially if you're shooting wide open.

And have a way to focus them accurately, otherwise you have 3K.

Curious about this idea. I find that with the focus tools and good marks (on cinema glass) I can accurately pull at 5K today. Just did some wild pulls at T2 and hit them. I haven't been having issues on that side.

Hey Jarred can you put a side by side comparison of the same image ASA @2000 with Epic so we see the low noise comparison?

This is really exciting. I can't wait!

For 86 FPS, that REDCODE compression looks much improved over the EPIC.

This is mind blowing. Are you guys confident in RED Zooms for use with 6k?

Good to hear of your success and it's great to hear Red Germany has 4k screens. What festival is this?

It would be great to get an update on plans for a new RR card.

any idea of what kind of performance we'll be getting with 6k footage out of a current red rocket? any kind of foreshadowing to an update for this card? Might be a good hint for anybody on the fence getting a rocket right now so they don't have to drop almost 5k on a card right before a new one is on the horizon. Unless the idea is, you'll need 2 rockets for real time for dragon footage...

Looks amazing!! Can we see a pre-color graded image to show off dynamic range?

Am i the only one who returned multiple times today to just look again and again at those images? ;) Showing them to friends and family not counted (and most of them just say, those images look great, probably don't understand my excitement and nerdy blabla about technical specs). Hehe

Awesome RED...Thats really crazy shit you have there. ;)
