We just did something we are going to reveal tomorrow. One of them being a Ronin on a segway!
Quick little demo of this system being demonstrated is on my instagram, @willisxchung

Great Willis, we did some tests on other mounting options and look forward to shoe them off, only thing I do different is to mount the Epic upside down to start, and the recorded image is not flipped... :)

But I have to say that the Ronin rocks in this mode, as well as on my favorite fore fast runs/walks/side vehicle mounting which is the Brief-Case mode... :)

"Mobile Assistant Software Requirements

iOS version 6.1 or above Mobile Device iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPod touch 4, iPod touch 5 , iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini"

Seems like I'm going to get an iPad mini after all :)

No Android supported?

@Jean-ChristopheDupasquie,
There will absolutely be android support, I'll make sure of it. Additionally, right now during beta stage, we are using Windows to update the firmware, give us a little time, we will be launching a Mac Assistant Software to perform your firmware updates.

Hey guys,
Just want to echo @NicholasBradford's post, we've finally publicly announced the DJI Ronin on our website.

link available here:
http://www.dji.com/product/ronin

The support coming from the Reduser Forum has been an amazing experience. Thank you all for a super successful launch. The reason I've been a bit quiet these days is because I'm getting the Ronin Pro Support Team up and running, the next month is dedicated to intensive training, these guys are prep techs & 3D rig techs with years of industry experience, rest assured they speak our lingo, and understands why it's important for things to simply work.

As for shipping information. The team in manufacturing has made it a point to QC each and every Ronin to the highest quality standard, if it isn't perfect, REDO IT! This is the reason why we have not shipped the initial batch to AMP yet. I will give you guys a solid date as soon as I hear from HQ, please be patient with me, it's right around the corner.

Meanwhile, enjoy these pictures.

As always, thank you for the support, we will not disappoint,

since we have all paid in full in advance, it would be nice to get a solid answer on when these will ship. I thought it was against merchant account policy to charge for an item before it ships. We are coming up on 30 days since our cards were charged.

There's no law against a merchant charging before shipping (in the US, anyway.) Some credit card issuers have policies against merchants who charge before shipping, and many merchants have adopted the policies themselves as a result/best practice. You can try calling your issuer and have them contact the merchant to request they waive the charge until shipment, or, worst case, issue a chargeback.

I didn't say it was illegal, I suggested its against most merchant account agreements. My Merchant account does not allow me to charge for products prior to shipping. Its not a law but part of my agreement with the credit card company. Im not asking for a refund, I just find it odd that we were charged in full with zero info on a ship date. Seems a bit unethical and frankly it severely limits our rights once these do ship since our cards were charged over 30 days prior to receiving the equipment.

@GregM
Big fan of what you are doing with Digital FX. I have a small Color Front post house of my own. Anyway, back to work, yes, I understand your concern about paying the full pop up front, which was something Aerial Media Pros decided to do on their own. We recommended the dealers to collect a deposit, but AMP has their reasons for collecting the full amount.

That being said, I just spoke w/ our team in HQ, and confirmed that the first production batch is in fact being manufactured as we speak and scheduled to ship to AMP early next week.

I'm on your side! Was just listing everything out for completeness because even though there's no law, many people don't realize that there are steps you can take to get charges waived until the unit ships (without asking for a refund.) Calling the issuer and letting them know is also helpful because merchants listen to issuers a lot more than they listen to customers when it comes to changing practices. I definitely agree that you shouldn't be in the business of giving interest free loans!

Thanks for the update Willis.

Hey Willis,
I've just been contacted by the French distributor.
Thanks a lot for having taken care of my case, can't wait to rock this gimbal!

Hey guys,

I put my name on the list. Also Clicked on the web link asking me to choose my local reseller. I chose adorama since I'm in NY and I haven't heard from anyone and last time I tried to call nobody even knew what the product was. I'm wondering what's going on. I'm trying to pick up a set before the 21st of this month if at all possible to take with me on this project I'm shooting in Iceland. Anyone heard back from Adorama?

thanks

D
