@BartLederink,
that email you got is very bazaar, can you forward that email to me along with your full name, email, and phone? I'll make sure you get taken care of. willis.chung (at) dji (dot) com

I just got a €500 invoice for the deposit.

Hey, I sure hope Ronin's US price isn't converted to Euros using the old formula of $=€. $4000 is currently approx. 2950 Euros :)

I tink it will be at least 4000€ cause of tax and customs.
Thats my experience here in Germany.
Where r u from Petri?

I'm in Finland. You're right, when one adds VAT and a few % import tax, the Euro amount comes to something like €3700. However, that applies if the EU dealer pays $4000 for the gimbal to DJI, and I believe dealers pay less than that. They pretty much have to if they wish to make some profit, after all.

Spoke with Pete at LCE too, apparently there's only 4 of us that they are responsible for so it amuses me that 3 of us are still regularly checking back.

It seems to me that many of the EU resellers know as much about the package details as we do at this point. I asked him to confirm if it will be shipping with a peli case w/ form cut outs and apparently it wasn't in any of DJI's communication with the resellers.

While I have faith that the product will be good, it's nice to know these sorts of things so I can plan and budget for needing to spend extra for a multirotor mount, hard case etc.

I had an email conversation with Pete at LCE, and it seems that the UK package will be everything (including the thumb control and case), except the extra battery. Delivery is pencilled in for mid July.

Interesting, LCE is who i was contacted by. Fingers crossed for July and reasonable price from retailers.

Hi Willis,
Thanks for the quick reply. Send you a mail.

...If you posted interested, and filled out the DJI form asking for AMP to be your dealer but have not gotten an email from me yet. Then simply email me directly and I will give you the code and link to order at. I will keep the Code active on our website until last day of this month. This will give those that are just getting their emails with the coupon codes a little more time.

If anyone has some concerns or have questions for me, email me direct at patrick@aerialmediapros.com

As posted above..Today was supposed to be the last day to get full payment in for the AMP DJI Ronin Group Buy but
just spoke with Patrick at AMP and because neither of the 2 tests going have posted any footage or results yet..
he has graciously agreed to extend the AMP group buy deadline for another week till July 7.

So July 7 will be last day to get in the full payment for AMP DJI Ronin Group Buy.

Here are links to the 2 independent tests...

Hi folks! I know everyone has been frustrated with the lack of proper independent review and in-depth testing of the new DJI RONIN 3-axis gimbal...
I am pleased to say that the wait is over! I have just received the RONIN and I am ready to "dive in" into the testing and review...

I am cooperating with a local rental house in order to put the Ronin through its limits.
We intend to try all sorts of configurations - from the lightest, most compact Scarlet with affordable still lenses and accessories - all the way up to fully kitted CF Dragon Epic with proper cine glass, matte-box, filters, FIZ and wireless HD...

Hi every one...
As one which has always Tested and put specialty Gear to the test, I checked and used any Image Stabilization piece of equipment I could get my hands on, as I get motion seek easily when viewing Non-stabilized imagery or imagery that for what ever Story Telling decision has too much shaking going on...

Hi Guys,

Regarding calling my office, I am not sure who you spoke to. Perhaps it was a misunderstanding or one of my guys didn't clearly explain something. I do apologize if something was not communicated correctly by one of my employees, Either way, I am here for you bud, and I have all the right info :) I recommend that anyone with questions simply email me directly at patrick@aerialmediapros.com, Ill be happy to get back to you.

Lets clear up a few things right now. The group buy is not limited to 50. That may have been confused with the availability and the first shipment being a quantity of 50. It is open to everyone that was INTERESTED. Yes, that INTERESTED list was in the hundreds, but when it came time to actually commit to purchase, that list shrunk to a little over 100. I received a list of just over 100 people that filled out the DJI contact info and choose AMP as their dealer. I was told that aprox 95% of the people that registered choose AMP. As you can see the list of hundreds of people that responded in the thread with "INTERESTED", quickly shrunk to a much smaller list of just over 100 people. The first batch of 50 is already spoken for, and we are just now beginning to work on the second batch of 50. I am being told that the second batch of Ronin's should ship 1-3 weeks after the initial 50. So even if you didn't get on the first batch, you should be to far behind.

I have personally emailed everyone from the list that I received from DJI to begin collecting the Payments. We had a very quick and positive response. Seems that there are really a lot of you guys very happy with the opportunity to Pre-pay and reserve their unit. I notice I get a lot of positive emails with people expressing their appreciation and support, but I don't see much of that on the forums. I assume those that are happy do not see the need to go and post it all over the forums. I guess it goes to that old saying of "if you like something you tell a couple people, but if you dont like something you tell the world". Heheheh, that seems so true at times. I do see that a few are unhappy with how the group buy has progressed. I do agree that it could have gone differently and smoother. Good news is that we are here now and things seem to be going pretty well. I can tell you that the majority of people have been very happy and more than excited to have gotten their Ronin reserved and paid in full.

Lets talk about DELIVERY DATES. Willis mentioned an end of June release. Guys, as much as I would love to say that is going to work, I have to say I highly doubt it. DJI is constantly pushing the envelope and is always coming out and releasing some new bad A*& products. Being their largest Dealer for the Professional line of products, I have gotten a good feel for how the new product release's go. We have had multiple releases of products that we have done Pre-Order sales on. Pre-Orders were really not my plan or idea. Customers kept urging and pushing me, asking me to please allow them to pay for it now and upfront so that they can secure and be the first with the product. All of my new product pre order sales have gone really good. The key is to be patient because the dates usually get pushed back from the original plan. Please understand, At anytime, if your tired of waiting, simply send me an email to cancel, and Ill refund your payment immediately, and give your spot to the next one in line.

The end of the month is just a little over a week away. I know there are some final touches and refinements being done before the final product releases. I can pretty much assume they will not ship in 10 days. I could be wrong though. Personally, I would rather wait an extra 2-6 weeks and receive a product that has been fine tuned and perfected before shipping them to the consumers. This is why the release dates from DJI generally get pushed back a little, because they are doing some finishing touches to make it absolutely right.

Personally guys, I am now thinking that the Ronins will Ship Mid July. Plan on Mid to late July and with that we should be good to go. PLEASE Do not go out and book gigs only because your planning on doing it with the Ronin. I never really understood how people can book jobs that require them to use equipment they do not even have yet. LOL, thats a completely different thread that could go on for a few pages hehehe. Seriously though, Pre-Orders like this go real good as long as your patient and do not need this for some URGENT shoot or something. If you have Pre-Ordered this from me with a Shoot Date in mind, Please understand it may not ship in time for your shoot. If your not comfortable with that, Please email me and let me know and I will refund your Pre-Order immediately. There is no need to pre-order the Ronin only to Stress about it daily.

I mention a Mid to Late July Ship date. I prefer under promise and over deliver. If it ships end of June, your gonna love me. If it ships end of July, at least you wont crucify me since I am being up front with it now. As with all major/new product releases, they often take a little longer than originally planned. Please be patient, and email me directly if you have any concerns. I will post up here if I hear any new news on ship dates.

Everyone should have received the email and Coupon Code to use on checkout at our website in order to get into the group by. It is not limited to a certain amount of people that can participate. If you posted interested, and filled out the DJI form asking for AMP to be your dealer but have not gotten an email from me yet. Then simply email me directly and I will give you the code and link to order at. I will keep the Code active on our website until last day of this month. This will give those that are just getting their emails with the coupon codes a little more time. Again, contact me if you need the code. After that, you will have to pay full price, and there will be no bonus items. I have A LOT of people wanting to buy 3-10 of these at a time. I have not allowed that, and have only allowed 1 per customer. Once I end the Coupon code on the last day of this month, I will then begin to allow anyone and everyone to Pre-Order, which is going to really increase the wait list. So, if your interested, just make sure to order before the end of the month to be in front of the masses that will soon begin ordering.

I hope this cleared up some things. For all those that have laid silent but have personally expressed your gratitude and suport though PM, and email. Thank you very much, I do appreciate your support and your business very much. I will do my absolute best to take care of this and to get everyone's orders shipped as soon as possible.

If anyone has some concerns or have questions for me, email me direct at patrick@aerialmediapros.com

Thanks again for your Positive Support, you have all been awesome.

Have a god night,

Patrick

I've been on a feature for a month. I have not heard anything about the execution of the Group Buy. I was on the "list". I signed up very early on. Unfortunately, as a working DP, I can't be scouring the forum 24/7. If you missed me, send me an order form.

WTF?

WTF?

I go shoot a movie for a month. Come back and find this group buy has gone to crap. I see the DJI Ronin rep saying he's contacted and sent order forms to all on the list. I haven't received jack. I'm # 122. Is there any credibility to this Group Buy? As someone who doesn't log into RU everyday can you reach my at my business email? saintmarkspictures@gmail.com

The timeline looks something like this:

The link will expire at 6pm PST today.
China will wake up at 6pm PST today.
They will be sorting out the list and put it in the order of interest.
Then they will transmit the list to the designated dealers.
Technically, dealers will have 48hours to get organized for pre-payment deposit
Depending on the dealer, the latest is Tuesday of next week, but soonest would be tomorrow.

I'll push for expedited calls / emails on my end.
Thanks guys!

# 122 here. Haven't heard anything. Please EM me at: saintmarkspictures@gmail.com

The link was put up almost a month ago now, probably right after you left for your feature. Everyone was to complete registration with their info and selected dealer (most chose AMP) then AMP went through in the order of the original list asking for payment, which was then filtered into whoever paid first. The post that says everyone has been contacted is referring to the people who went through the process of the link. Try getting ahold of Patrick and see what he says. patrick@aerialmediapros.com

Hey Guys,

Here is a short video we put together from this last week.

Austin White of Aerial Media Pros goes out to the Lucas Oil Off Road Race to put the Ronin gimbal to the Test. This was a Beta Unit, This is all raw footage. You will see that after a few days of using the Ronin, Austin is extremely pleased with the Gimbal. I feel it is hands down the best hand held on the market, and it comes at a really sweet price point. Order you Ronin here http://aerialmediapros.com/store/100-dji-ronin- I hope you guys like the video, we sure enjoyed using the Ronin.

Thanks,

Patrick

FYI for any one in the near European area... :)

@BartLeferink, I got to look into your case, and it appears you contacted one direct @dji.com sales team. DJI isn't doing a direct to customer Group Buy, we are running it through our dealer network. Therefore the team didn't know what this deal was all about. In addition, they verified that you didn't sign up for the Group Buy on the link, but I'll make sure a dealer contacts you in the Netherlands area. Thank you for the support!
