...DJI isn't planning to distribute the Ronin without going through a dealer. Currently, DJI doesn't have any Asia or European dealers in place for Ronin distribution...

Willis, I am sure you have it taking care of and just need time to set it up, but should you come to need a distributor for Europe, I can surely make that happen with a location off Milan Italy.

Just saw this over at Letus and wanted to ask here as well, will Ronin work with Blackmagic Ursa? This camera is about 16 pounds and 12" long (with battery)

I have inquired, as regards this payload issue a few times. I believe that the proffered Ronin does not have the functional payload capacity, BUT, is there going to be additional kit available, to increase payload/modify function, for the soon shipping Ronin?

Thank you very much

Fury

As much as I love what Ronin is, the lack of precise information atimes wants to make me jump ship, though 6/6 is around the corner

In a personal inquiry, I found out that the Ronin will have no problem with a fully loaded Epic and longer cine lenses such as the Schneider Xenon, or Summilux Cine Primes, which put the Movi10 thru hell for balancing, and those with me at RSH will remember!!

But full load capacity hasn't been released, just one more week and all questions will be answered... :)

@AbiodunShote,
Thank you for your interest in the Ronin. We haven't had the chance to even touch the Ursa yet, unfortunately. I do know the ultimate plan is to make the Ronin working with the camera that starts with an A and rhymes with Relexa. I'll see if that's remotely possible when I get the CineGear beta units in.

Additionally, longer arms to mount larger cameras will be optional. However, there are no plans to change out the motors to surpass the 16 pounds payload right now.

You're an amazing human being for offering this.

An update regarding EU Market:
DJI sees the Ronin as a professional tool for the entertainment industry. Therefore, we aren't allowing any and all dealers that's selling our Phantom Quadcopters the Ronin product because they wouldn't know how to remotely support the users. Therefore, we are seeking the Abel & Bandpro on the other side of the world.

Hi Willis,

Will you be offering any training during CineGear? Thx for coming through.

We will have a Ronin expert on site at CineGear to demo the product and give you hands on experience with it. He can also show you how easy it is to balance the Ronin w/o tools and w/ the assistance of the iOS app.

Try http://cvp.com/ in the UK.

Blushing... :)

Truth is that you guys have built an absolutely INCREDIBLE Gimbal, and I just wanted to do what I can to help all fellow European Reduser and Filmmakers alike, and understand completely and like your analogy of how you wish to go about... Totally agree.

Mark your calendars

Thanks! Where and what time will you be posting this?
Could I suggest a clean, new thread so we can find it quickly and easily?

Stoked.

Thanks alot Willis. Appreciate the info, though the bm ursa is 16 pounds body alone.

Is the GB info still planned to be out this week?

Thanks!

Hi

How about a Ronin Gimbal for demo in Singapore? There is REDucation event on 21-23rd June and I am assisting the organizers. I would love to try out this rig with my Epic.

Cheers

@DavidCheung,
We will be at Broadcast Asia showing off the Ronin on June 17-20th in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. Hope to see some Redusers there.
