Good newsAny news Rosario?
GREAT news! Do I have to "dedicate it" or can I continue to use it as my normal mouse, and just spin the wheel when I am using your tool?
I can make a specified script that is activated only when you're pressing a specific key in a way that you can continue to use as a scroll wheel when you need it as a scroll wheel![]()
That's awesome - so just to be clear: 1) I can use it with x-keys http://www.piengineering.com/xkeys/xk24.php XKey is NOT a generic keyboard, it is more like a game controller type thing. It comes with its own version of controller mate
2) I can use my scroll wheel to control values as wanted. 3) This will not require advanced programming skills on my part.
1) Yes, you can use the x-keys.
2) Yes, you can use the scroll wheel to control the values
3) Exactly, I'll make it for you.
Regards! =)
It isn't a problem if you're using other keyboard, you'll config only the one that you need, others will operate normally.
Yes and no, you can map "my modifier keys" on some keys on your xkey keyboard.
Let me explain, you can't have custom shortcuts like "button 1 = next version", "button 15+button1 = previous version."
You should keep the functions printed on the stickers. So maybe you need to assign 3 or 4 keys to modifiers and then the others to the basic functions, in a way that pressing a specific modifier you can use the specific "b-function" written in the script (that can't be changed).
Hope that i've explained :S
Yes and no, you need around 100 keys to have all the features.
but maybe you don't need all of them so maybe for what you do, 50 keys are enough![]()
No, you still need the modifiers. Some features are built in the same key (with and without pressing the modified key) within the script, so you can't separate them and assign them to two different keys. But they could all be direct (whatever number I have?)
Makes sense Rosario but... I think you should think about a version for those of us who have a control surface, but want more button functions. We would not need "next clip" (it's right there on the control surface) but we would need "last frame", and we would prefer it to work without a modifier (although this will likely work as I could program the modifier+key itself as a macro with a keyboard like Genovation or X-keys.)
Here is a function suggestion that would be mighty handy (maybe they are there already) For qualifiers: hue On/Off Sat On/Off Value On/Off (simple toggles without changing low/high/soft values) - its' great to check the contribution of each vector when qualifying.
I don't have if in the inbox, please resendRosario, i sent you a private message, and you never responded. Did you get it?
