D-tap to RedVolt XL battery module

Does anyone have a solution for using D-tap with the Redvolt XL battery module?

would creating one of these work? http://woodencamera.com/d-box-d-tap-customizer.html

or is there a way to generate power out of the two-pin aux power ports at the base of the module? I've searched around and don't see anything available. I have a friend who may be able to build a custom solution, but am wondering if there is anything currently able to be purchased off the shelf.

since they opened the module system to 3rd party, would be great to know if that includes the redvolt system. I'd love something like that wooden plate that could take 1 or 2 redvolt xl

Do not forget to double check if polarity is right on the d-tap side before plugging anything into it the very first time...

You can never be 100% sure if the wires are set correctly according to camera out polarity so better check beforehand vs blow expensive stuff.

Interesting! I always learn about so many new widgets and gadgets here. seems well worth a few extra bucks - I haven't seen many mistakes with reverse polarity, but when they happen, it's costly. Usually the destroyed item comes in at a price just below the insurance deductible.... :wink::glare: - Murphy's law for film producers....

It works great to power my Shogun from the Redvolt XL module.

I put Dtap on all our 2 pin lemo cables looking like this.

Short end (2 pin lemo to female Dtap) goes into the XL module. then I can choose to have Dtap or 2 pin lemo in the the other end. Also got Dtap male to 4 pin lemo. And different length to combine.

side note: Jareds talk about Death Tap... Did you guys know that the 2 pin lemo is built so that you only need to pull back the shell and twist 180 and your polarity is then swapped... Think that is possibly a bigger danger than using Dtap, no?
