  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Competition to guess Scarlet's features and price-tag!!! (FREE post for indi short!)

cool Peter...I love Red Users...They're so much more layed back...In fact most "western cultures" are pretty awesome.

Here in England it's all: Yes Sir, No maam...Cup of tea?

Oooh...I showed my parent's my short films, shot on a ten year old video camera...and they were impressed, so they pledged $4000 to my scarlet cause...Grandma and Aunt another $4000, So as long as its about $5000 so I can get accessories and stuff, that'll be awesome!

I hate to disappoint You :innocent: but I was born in Slovak Republic (ex Czechoslovakia) - that would make the "easterner" in relation to England... (and explain my bad English)
Anyway - having worked in more then 50 countries (so far) I have seen plenty of different cultures and everywhere You find great and forward-looking folks (like Jim) as well as the "other type" and everything between...

I do know a great person in London who thinks very much like Jim - Simon Robinson (Hey Simon :clown2: ) - the founder and boss at The Foundry... (http://www.thefoundry.co.uk/)
If You go to NAB - please say hello from me! (stand SL2624)

sorry man, I'm stuck here in England, got exams in a month,

Good results guarantee me a scarlet...bad results guarantee that...well...let's not talk about it:waaa:

I went on the foundry, just now...It looks awesome...Does simon specialise in CG effects for film?

Hey Terry!

An actual tie is not likely as no two post can be added at the exact time and I have clarified that if there are two (or more) exact same bets, the one that was posted (or edited) before the others wins.

But if You have followed the "marketing stunt" (http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=11440)
the date at the end of the "trailer" says 04.30.08!

Now that goes well with Jim confirming that RED won't be selling ANYTHING at NAB...

Oh... my bad.

Rob, did you know that if you take the pattern of * and " " in your amusing post above, place as wavelet coeficients into a REDCODE decoder, you get the a highly compressed image of the Scarlet itself? Rob, that is SO clever!

Graeme

I tried it and all I got was a picture of Margret Thatcher
