  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Cinematographer's handle. Ergonomics. Aesthetics. Wood.

Just opened my mailbox, and there it was... Delivered just in time for Xmas !

I won't post pictures because those Hrvoje already posted show everything very well, and I can confirm that the real handle looks exactly like in the pictures. It is beautifully made, and fits very well in my hand. Can't wait for my next handheld shoot !

Now I need to find the best way to attach it to the camera.

I've been looking for such a wooden handle for years, glad I finally found it. I'm still thinking if I'll need a left handle too, or not.

Anyway, thanks Hrvoje for creating this handle. Great work !

If you are not sure about the left one, wait until you use this one, it mostly depends on your preferred handheld shooting style.

Well as many of you guys here form the beginning know of my conditions, one of which is that from the immunosupressors which have been causing extreme loss of Bone density, Osteoporosis and so on, making it very difficult to keep things in hand for long period of times, unless...

I have an absolute perfectly built ergonomic grips, or soft and of good rubberized or rubber material...

It is with GREAT pleasure that I now have at last "THE PERFECTLY ERGONOMIC HANDLE" which will go on to my new custom Shoulder Mount, Camera gear and other stuff...

We'll post BTS pics from on set soon... No need to post more pics of the handle itself as you as been said have already posted great ones... ;)

Handle arrived today.

I'll tell you what..... this handle is a piece of work. It fits like a glove, feels like no handle I've ever used.... do yourself a favor and buy one of these.

There is another batch due this January and I decided to include the $400 early adopter price for those who missed this thread and the first batch, so guys feel free to catch me on PM. Main pics are on page 5 and 7 of this thread and more details are on page 6.

Another thing. Apollo fits most common hand sizes. Tested.
Shooters with less common hand sizes will be supported as well with appropriate size handles. Tested.

I would first like to express my gratitude towards Hrvoje. The communication and purchase was easy and void of any complication. All questions were answered and I really enjoyed the updates on how the process was going. He even asked for specific measurements to ensure that my hand would fit harmoniously with the handle.
The Apollo is working piece of art. The wood is beautiful and has an old world feel. It has received many compliments and someone has already made an offer to try and take from my hands, which is not going happen. The rosette is installed well and feels robust. Comfortable is an understatement. It also creates a perfect extension of the arm. It personally allows a new level of movement in the camera that I had yet been able to experience. I feel like I'll be able to communicate better through the lens. This will be a piece of equipment that will outlast many cameras, decades, wars, generations.
The Apollo is an extremely worth while investment, especially at the price Hrvoje is offering it at.
Hats off to you.

I've just received my pair of handles today in the mail.

Each handle was individually packed and protected.

They look exquisite and fits like a glove !

Wood has a lovely grain and feel.

Communication was very good. Hrvoje updated me with emails and pictures of my set along the way.

Will update further when I get to use it on shoot.

A big thank you to Hrvoje for a fantastic product !
