Not sure what it WILL be, but boy I hope some day we read that RED has purchased the rights to develop Final Cut Pro from Apple. That would be a great day.

REDRAY? REDJECTOR (4K projector)? REDSPLAY (4K screen)? New Rocket? DRAGON? Electronic Lenses? EPIC-S / SCARLET final specs / shipping dates / prices? A whooole lot of new accessories? RED DIT (DIT cart, RED-approved)? Modules, modules, modules? All backorders (Bomb / REDmote / Side Handle) shipping within 1 week? REDMOTE PRO? Alexa module (dumbs down all the specs of the EPIC)? RED Cut Pro (FCP, done right)? New Color Sciences? New firmware for EPIC (Playback, 1080, 3K enabled)? RED FLUX (time travel)? RED WEIGHT (same weight as the Golden Idol of Fertility, prevents giant boulders trying to crush you)?

Well, looks like I'll have to get up early tomorrow... :)

Red Flux! Ha Ha!
I could use that now to jump to 9pm...er....12am.

The server will get slow just like it has in the past, especially with all these new members popping up out of the woodwork.

Who you callin' "new," Justin?

Just kidding, dude.

does anybody else see the correlation between this thread and the anniversary thread...The first RED One is delivered to customers today in
2007.....the first Epic-X's are ready to be delivered to customers...today....It hurt my brain when I put the two together.

What a great ride its been...and what an adventure its going to be!

And to add my $0.02 to the mix... I hope it has nothing to do with stereo. Please for the love of god make this announcement be about scarlet.

Dude, Scarlet is all about stereo :P

Look at those nice electronically-controllable lenses! Very nice for syncing up two cameras without spending a ton on a Cmotion controller or whatever!

you are most likely correct on this, haha

awwww, 3am here and I need some sleep. I won't make it at 6am, so I guess for breakfast I will have a surprise and about 50 pages of comments to go through.

Someone may be kind enough to put together a summary...heh heh heh.

And yes...September 1, 2007 RED Day. September 1, 2011, I'm guessing, will be EPIC-X Day.

But I get the feeling there is more to this than we know...

Plus, there seem to be at least a few things we don't know about EPIC-X yet...like the two physical elements that differentiate it from EPIC-M.

Still just guessing...

With Epic-X coming, and the cryptic "Stay up Late" added to Jim's post, I hope it's a new website or micro site that allows you to configure Red support accessories on Epic. I know that I, and others suggested it in the past. You know, kind of like when you go to an auto manufacturer's site and add wheels, wings, roof racks, etc. Then you can see what the car looks like.

With some of the accessory questions that I've seen posted lately, I'm surprised this sort of thing isn't implemented already! Just throw an 'Add to Cart' on there and it's a great sales tool.

Or maybe it's some software that we can download and tinker with until dawn.

Or, maybe it's dragon, 4k laser projectors, proxy module, Scarlet, Epic-S, electronic lenses and anamorphics!

OK, there's a lot of different things it could be.

One thing that I'd like to hear, is how many Epic-Xs they are able to spit out per day... I'm near the end of the Stage II list.

These announcement things are always exciting times!
