shipping and support are top notch from what many on dvxuser say. The owner, John, has been pretty active on threads with updates and such. I'm about to order the $599 version with the extra features. Will let you know how it works out.

Regarding brightness they rate it 300nit which is like half of the NEB70HD put out, but for the price difference, I wont complain. Hard times... somethings gotta give.

James, you could probably get a cable that will plug into the D-Tap on the RED battery plate. Question is, will it work with RED's output. IKAN's small HDMI monitor won't.

I haven't taken the monitor apart so I was wondering if someone had an idea of where the weight of the monitor comes from? The body or whats inside?

I was thinking it was the case. It would be great if someone took the same idea but used an aircraft aluminum or carbon fiber case.

Works fine, we do that with ours. It's very simple to knock up a D-tap to DC connector cable, takes about 2 minutes!...
