Can you explain a little more?

I'm sure that components get better and better throughout the lifecycle of a camera, so the first to get their cameras get the first rev boards.
By the time its ready for a new upgrade, there are sometimes some parts that can be used with the new architecture, and some revs that can't.
So if you just upgraded a month ago, you probably have more parts that can be used in the upgrade than someone who upgraded a year and a half ago.

Depends what vintage your camera is. That determines what can be used.

Oh wow, I thought you all weren't actually using anything from our old cameras and "upgrade" was just a marketing term. I understand now why "upgrading" is a slow process because there is actual time involved in taking pieces off and building the new cameras with those pieces.

Another question for you, I believe I have seen from some weapon owners that they did not get their $5,000 accessory credit until after they had already gotten their weapon in their hands. When exactly does that credit actually get credited to our accounts?

It is an accessory credit, not a rebate. Available for you to spend on anything in the RED store once you have successfully completed the Weapon transaction.
Not sure if that means dispatch from RED or receipt by you. Bomb Squad rep is probably the best resource if those couple of days would make a difference.

Where did I imply I thought it was a rebate? I believe I have seen a couple of people say that the credit appeared in their account a few days to a week after they got their weapon. It would be good that when you pay the outstanding balance for the weapon the credit should then be applied then to your account. That way if you want to get important things, say like new media (some of us haven't upgraded to mini-mags yet), you can have those accessories shipped back with your weapon instead of getting your camera back and then having wait days, or possibly a week, to actually shoot with the new camera. I just don't want to end up with a camera that I can't shoot with right out of the box.

You can order screens media and what ever you want and tell your bomb guy that you want it delivered with the weapon and be deducted from your credit.

Me to I ordered weapon upgrade minimags, AC adapter, OLPFs and so on... Got all the stuff this summer except the camera, and the OLPF showed up to be an epic olpf, not fitted for weapon which was not really what I had in mind when ordering. But well, now I got another 5k USD on the red account which never is a bad thing. lol.

hey guys not to be a bother but please let me know when CF Dragon/M has been allocated completely and we are upgrading Dragon X models? Basically if i had to I could finance it in a pinch, but if I'm given more information on possible allocation, or an idea of where the queue is currently, all of that is super helpful. like i'll do my best to be ready quickly once i get an allocation email, im just fishing for info. honestly i could care less if im not allocated until mid or late next year, because its just more dragon revenue in the short term til weapon arrives. more so just always wondering cuz depending on time frames i could prioritize different pieces of gear in the shorter term, or whatever...
