[fALk Gärtner]

bwahahahaha REALLY? are they kidding? 1080p 30fps $16k...

http://www.dvinfo.net/article/acqui...-cinema-eos-c300-and-eos-c300-pl-cameras.html

50Mbit MPEG2 on top. It must be a joke.

[Gary Paul Walker]

Canon.. oh, dear.
...and entire creative community do a global spit-take for all the wrong reasons...

[Drew Mylrea]

Canon said that their video team created this, not the EOS crew. In other words, the same jokers who designed the XL2 and all of Canon's other disruptive *cough* video cameras. That explains a lot.

[Ólafur Jón Thoroddsen]

60fps at 720p?

is this a joke?

[Björn Benckert]

This new canon is shit, I will go and buy a iphone 4s instead, more functionality.

[AndreeMarkefors]

Interesting. I guess the answer to the question of "what does it take to get rid of aliasing/moire on a 5D?" is another $14,000.

Nah. If that is what you want it costs $385 and is available here.

It's a physical drop in piece of glass that gets rid of almost all moire and significantly reduces aliasing.

Or, you can wait and see what RED has to offer... =)

[Eric Lange]

no comprendo.....

[Marek.Vesely]

1080p at 30fps? MPEG2 50Mb/s.. 720p60.. $16.000? This must be some sort of joke..

[Raphael Varandas]

I guess for you guys getting bored means that your pulse drops below 135, and you maybe even take a seat, or better yet sleep

NIce Diego...Let's have some coffe on me.
Best from Brazil

[Ruben and Sheri O.]

Sony FS100 won over canon!!

[Drew Mylrea]

Jim is either jumping up and down, laughing hysterically or is seriously baffled and upset, disappointed that he's still playing on his own field.

[Eric Lange]

Is the point that it has childishly easy “out of the box” color or something or the work flow is an absolute no brianer?

[Felix Steinhardt]

Now he can charge 30 000 $ for the scarlet and it will still be better than the canon

[alex lemon]

how much did they have to pay scorsese to show up and sell this thing?

[Chosei Funahara]

Jim's only true competitor is now LomoKino, forget about c300, F3, HEHEHE! I just wanted laugh.

[Christian Jadot]

Jim is either jumping up and down, laughing hysterically or is seriously baffled and upset, disappointed that he's still playing on his own field.

I thinking he is waiting at his computer just waiting to hit the "enter" key. The price (if true) makes the Canon event fairly anti-climatic.

[Jarek Zabczynski]

Sony FS100 won over canon!!

Heck the AF-100 does 1080p 60p...

[Gary Paul Walker]

Now he can charge 30 000 $ for the scarlet and it will still be better than the canon

shhh. Don't tell Jim, I have a limited budget!

[Meryem Ersoz]

I'm so bored, too, Jim! Talk about paint drying!

That Canon announcement was a sputtering match. Bah! I took time away from editing for that??

Time to light this candle....

[Bill Anderson]

Jim's prescient thread title: "I'm So Bored" takes on new meaning by the minute.
