EPIC-S is going to eat the C300 for a light snack.
Don't forget he said that at a Canon conference and not on a set. Well, he must've said it on the set too.. With Canon people around.I think Canon needs to explain how a 1080p camera just became a $20,000 camera?
My RED cost me $17,500 before MX. You could get a second hand kit even cheaper and probably scrap together some bits and come in at around $30,000? with even more than double the resolution....like way more...so how the heck did they get that price tag?!
Edit:
Could the addition of the high ISO account for it? I mean what I've heard is 2K was the highest most people would go with EPIC? On the Canon was 16,000?
Engadget homepage now states 4K
"It contains a Super 35mm CMOS sensor and delivers up to 4K resolution"
Not sure what to believe....

It looks like Hasselblad. Know the industry. What's amusing is that they tried to place this camera above the Sony F3, and ignored Epic-S, which will eat it alive, for less cost! Actually, they didn't totally ignore Epic, the design looks a lot like an Epic. Imitation being the most sincere form of flattery.
If you consider every small square minimalist camera an epic yes. Looks more like a mamiya 645 pro than anything.Actually, they didn't totally ignore Epic, the design looks a lot like an Epic. Imitation being the most sincere form of flattery.
