One of the great things massive and impassable obstacles is that everyone else in there right mind just gives up. It's a great thing for weeding out the competition. Failures and set backs are really a blessing and not a curse, because only the very best products will survive.

Jim thanks for the transparency and being point blank about what's happening.

Welcome back! Glad to hear that the prescribed rest did what it was supposed to do.
And thank you for the honest report.
Knowing that you will release the product only when you are 100% satisfied reinforces our confidence in RED. You have set the bar high - that's worth the wait.
Stay well.

Jim, thank you for all your incredible work and sincerity. If not for you, the digital cine landscape would be a bleak one. And that is why I'm prepared to invest in a RED Co. camera, because everything else is just buying.

Thanks for the update and glad to hear your doing well again.

I will buy a scarlet when it is ready. For now I will go with another camera and hopefully make some money with it and I will sell it when Scarlet is released and purchase one. Heck, if I make enough money I will buy an Epic.

Thanks for the inspiration,
Michael

Welcome back, it 's very promissing to us to see you are healthy and determined to go on till you manage your goals. Your goals became visions for us, then dreams and some day dreams to come true. We trust and support your (and the rest of the team) efforts, don't give up.

Good to have you back Jim, glad you're feeling better.

It's honesty like this update that makes me a RED fan.

The cameras and the quality images they put out speak for themselves.

But what we have in Jim Jannard is something special. I don't know of any CEO that is as up front with his clients (and potential clients) as Jim has been and still is.
The philosophy of openness, both in sharing of information as well as in listening to users directly, is practically unique in today's corporate world - and it has made me a fan for life.

I'll get my Scarlet when it comes out, whether it's out this year or the next.

Sir Jim,

Good news!, your health is better and you’re back!

I think the members message is clear...take care of it, the success will follow.

...we have a "new camera" every time you release a new firmware and the incredible MX sensor etc...Incredible images.

Continue to have fun!, as much as we have with your cameras.

The best.

Antoine

Glad you're back, Jim!

Damn bugs. I know you guys will get it resolved. If you guys happen to make an extra Tattoo cam and don't know who to sell it to, I'll take it, bugs and all. ...Just sayin'

Jim, first it's great to see your name back here on a new post.

One thing about this life seems clear to all who have achieved their dreams and their destinies: it requires massive amounts of patience, persistence, and faith. I know you have all three, and so do all those whom you've inspired with your vision of what a camera should be.:-)

Minor legacy?

Jim, this is all gold, sir. What you and RED are doing is important to many people, and will be both talked about and utilized for a long, long time.

So pleased that you're back and in good health. Let us know what we can do!

In this order....

Jim's health - check
Epic and Scarlet will still get made - check

Enough said. If you retired today, you're legacy would be intact Jim. There's success, and then there's success with humility. RED is a success no matter what happens from here on out. Everything else is just gravy.

I'm sure this will all get figured out, but know that in the meantime a lot of projects are still moving forward with RED, especially with M-X upgrades. So the train is still moving. At some point Epic and Scarlet will get onboard and it will be unstoppable.

But as I have discovered recently, health is very important and that means getting sleep. You and I may have to be banned from working past midnight moving forward. (Not likely, I know)

Glad to heard you Jim.

Do you have a bug in your never-seen-before insane spech and modular 11,000 pieces' system?..

You and all your team are doing well from the very first, and learning to make it better and better. Actually insane right. Get your time, boss. Please give yourself, and the 24/7 people, a long holiday when you finish! We just started using RED-Xs...

Thanks for the transparency and great to have you back!

Happy to have you back, Jim - take care!

And I´d rather pay more money for the Scarlet than have it come from a place where workers see jumping off roofs as their only relief ...

All the best!
p

I am glad to hear that your health issues have been resolved.

Perhaps, from now on, you should limit yourself to one cigar a day. :sifone:
