Great Hair, Congratulations Erik and Amy!

Great Hair, Congratulations Erik and Amy!

Actually, we couldn't wait for the 25th. Anders came in at 10:06pm last night. Weighing in at 8lb 4oz, he and his mother Amy are both healthy.

Congratulations, wonderful thing, you thought you were busy before??

Beautiful baby, enjoy the times.

Best,

Congratulazioni! He's beautiful (and so furry. I'm envious, mine, after 4 months, is still bald like the Observer)

Erik -

Though it's been twenty-some years, I remember the day like no other. A thousand thousand congratulations to you and Amy.

David

Congratulations ...

... to you both :emote_happyhappy: Welcome to a complete life change event !

I finally had time this weekend to install my Birger mount.

1. After install of the mount I was able to use the center button on the mount to calibrate the focus range of the 24-105 Canon L series lens. BUT, I was unable to control Iris functions with either of the other two buttons. Pressing both buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds had no effect. The same result for pressing each button individually.

2. I was able to control *only* focus via bluetooth using a Mac Pro after successfully pairing the Mac Pro and Birger mount. BUT, I was unable to control Iris via BEI software.

3. Using the BEI Device Interface software I was able to update the Impero firmware to rev. 1.8. I turned off the Mac Pro bluetooth and attempted to sync the Impero and Birger using the lemo-lemo cable. After pressing "I" and powering up the Impero I was able to sync the mount and Impero via bluetooth.

3. Only after syncing the Impero was I able to use the top button on the mount itself to open the Iris both incrementally and full open when pressed for 2 seconds. The bottom button is still non-functional.

4. Also, after the Impero and mount were able to pair and sync, I was then able to go back to the BEI software and (with Impero powered OFF) have control of the IRIS via Mac Pro bluetooth. It was if the firmware in the mount itself "woke up" to the BEI application. BUT the bottom Iris control button on the mount itself is still not functional.

Any thoughts?

Also noteworthy is that the response of the lens when controlled by the Impero (yes, fresh batteries) is very jumpy. Lens data updates sporadically and is sometimes not accurate. But when using the BEI software all is right with the world again.

I don't have much time to devote to testing and will dig in again tonight, but I wonder if I missing some fundamental steps or info that would clear this all up for me!

Hello, I have just got my Red back from the upgrade. And now I am wondering whether is safe to upgrade to the newest impero controler and connect the ipins. before I was using build 17 and latest birger software with the impero in the one before the latest. It was always connecting and working properly. Focus pretty smooth as well.

So my question is, whe you upgrade to the latest impero firmware, can you go back to the old one? thank you Ivan C.

I need my mount

I need my mount

I hate to be the sour note on such a joyous occasion but I am shooting a full feature starting Monday and I was promised that I would have my (completely paid for and ready to send tracking number in-hand) mount by now. The tracking number just says that FEDEX is waiting to receive the package so that they can send it. I got the tracking number about two weeks ago. I HAVE TO HAVE THAT MOUNT AND REMOTE. AMY and ERIK. YOU GAVE ME YOUR WORD. I know these are extenuating circumstances but there has to be some way to get that package out the door. You told me that you literally had the parts in your hand and now two weeks later I have nothing. PLEASE FIX THIS.
