I spoke to Erik yesterday. They were missing some springs for the release button, expected in today to ship initial batch of about 10 to the Beta users (without knobs) knobs next week.

But I wait patiently as I did with RED.
The Mount is yet an other brake true, and for sure will amaze all its owners to be.
Ciao
you sent in your order in Feb and you got a confirmation? weird. was the deposit charged? a bunch of us who ordered in the first week have heard nothing yet.
But I believe in Erik.
Ok. Here comes a rather basic question: what exactly does the Birger mount do?
(I've found absolutely no information on the Birger website, and have spent 2 hrs searching the reduser archives, to little avail.)
simplistically... it lets u use eos lens (with full focus and iris control) on the red.

Thanks!
In practice, does this mean that with the Red Nikon adapter I can use Nikkor glasses - with manual control of focus and iris on the lens; while with the Birger I can put on Canon glass and have a remote control of focus and iris?
In other words, the Nikon is mechanical, the Birger electronic?
Is there a page that explains the benefits of the Birger?
Again, thanks for help & info.
