  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Beta Camera Build 3.2.8

How does the slate work? Will we need a new REDcine to see meta data or is it suppose to show in the video?
 
Here you go Phil, I just did firmware update. These are in order as listed on the camera. Note that a change has been made and it now properly displays max frame rates so you do not have to type 121 FPS manually to go over 120 FPS on 5K WS.

5K - 96 FPS
5K 2:1 - 101 FPS
5K WS - 121 FPS
5K HD - 96 FPS
5K ANA - 96 FPS
4K - 121 FPS
4K HD - 121 FPS
3K - 160 FPS
2K - 240 FPS
2K WS - 303 FPS
2K HD - 240 FPS
1K HD - 359 FPS
1K WS - 400 FPS
 
Did you mean early epics or even early Scarlets?

Ok So I dont want to be the first guy with issues but here it is. Camera wont RECORD!! I get error 0x0000001e when hit the rec button. It says to save the log file and then forces me to shut down. It did work for a few shots but now will not work at all. So i guess be very careful if you have any paid gigs coming up. It obviously still has bugs.

Would be nice if someone could do a list like this for scarlet. Interesting if there is a couple of extra fps here and there and in the new hd formats.
 
Anyone get the slate to work? I tried setting it to show for multiple frames, but it doesn't pop up. Would be great for the program to work wirelessly with an ipad/iphone app for the 2d to change that info.

Does the screen stay white with subsequent reboots?

Either way please send a log file to support after you get your camera up and running so we can take a look (your log will still have important information even if you roll back).

For now the slate information is just stored in the meta data. The auto slate feature you are referring to will be completed later.
 
Is it mandatory that we remove side handles before updating? Don't remember seeing that in the instructions accompanying the last firmware upgrade.

Did you reformat the media in this build?
