  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

BeSteady FOUR Thread

A status update would be appreciated; I'm sure ACR is working hard. How many weeks until the next shipment?

Hello,

we have finished tests of first batch of new electronic boards prototypes. We have encountered minor problems with some components on the new board so we have decided we need to replace them. We will receive second batch of new boards prototypes in middle of next week and we will commence final tests. If everything will be in order we will start building those electronics as production versions.

I will confirm shipping dates when I will receive green light from engineering department that new boards are ready for mass production.

Additional in response to feedback from The Beast users we have increased power output possible to receive from unit to 14.8V / 5A (from 12V / 5A, than means more than 20% power increase) - so powering RED and additional accessories will be possible without any problems.

Best
Peter

Thanks for the update Peter. Regardless of the news, it's always nice to see your updates. Hopeful for another update next week! Good luck with the testing. And "Have a great weekend".

Thanks Piotr.
So if I understood well, the next round of testing will be the last step before mass production ?
Will you still be able to produce 24 units a batch ? and how long is a batch actually ?

Thank you for the update and increased output power.

Does this mean the defective Beast you sent me many months ago, the one that has never worked, will eventually be repaired someday... maybe? Or no?

I love this thread. It's like being at Euro Disney. I paid for my unit so long ago I can't even remember what ridiculous amount I paid. Whether it was a good or not. Did it include shipping. No wait, VAT was extra. No it was PayPal that was extra. Lah lah lah. We aren't allowed to complain. We just keep singing happy tunes. I'll probably never receive whatever it is I paid for. But lah, lah, lah, updates are delayed for a new whatever board. The guy that keeps asking about refunds - lah lah, lah. It's a small world after all! Happy anniversary, happy new whatever. Happy new company. Lah lah lah... Not complaining...lah lah lah... Are we there yet?

I bumped into a working BS4 on a shoot recently in London and had a chat with the operator. It was carrying an F55, RTMotion 3.1, Alphatron and TV Logic monitors. They were really pleased with it, having used the Movi and Ronin previously. He said they were mostly using it with an EasyRig and one of the Flowcine products. Had no idea about our trials and tribulations here! Anyway, I didn't get to play with it but it looked really nice and his glowing report was welcome :)

i don't even know how that's possible but welcome real life feed-back. thanks Anthony.

We actually knew that guys. I made quite a mess last time by mentionning the sales, but ACR posted here long ago to speak about it.
Thèse full price sales are what the company needed to survive. And I hope they'll survive for a long time, I'll soon have a unit I would like to use for the next 5 years.

So please, no hard feeling against them. They are still working on our units, we can't say that about a certain wireless device some years ago.

Hello Guys,

we have commenced tests of revoked electronic boards. Initial tests are looking promising, but we need to make full trails to be absolutly certain, that all is working top notch. We will make endurance tests after that and if all will be complete we will confirm production of those electronic boards and I will be able to give you precise time schedule.

Yes, we will be able to build 24 units in next batch as most of production power will be focused on finishing your group buy. It's very important for us to deliver you units as fast as we will be able to.

I will keep you updated.

Best
Peter
