I'm speechless.
BeSteady has my empathy. Being a small business is tough, and they are making painful choices laying off staff to keep the doors open. As a small business owner, you don't get to that point without digging deep in your own pocket first, so I am certain they have already done that. I am extremely grateful that they are persevering instead of pulling a Viewfactor. Those of you grousing about cables should count yourself lucky that you are still getting a stabilizer at all. We take a risk buying from start
I agree, there is no any other option but supporting them but in the meantime they can provide us with the pin outs of all the connectors available...
Here's a link to the update: http://www.forum.besteady.eu/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=71&p=261#p261
It's late in the UK and Poland so I'll check with Mike tomorrow on how to add names to the thread. In the meantime I'm trying to work it out myself. Any tips would be appreciated!
How do I view this update? I have never been given a password. Can Pro or someone from BeSteady please email me the info I need to access this link?
BS can feel free to post that update here
I'll gladly pay a little more to have my cables with my unit.
Or better solution, a public pinout. Most of us know how to build our cables.
Maybe it's better, but I fear it narrows down our chances to get our units.
We had an amazing deal on that BS4. They mostly giving it to us.
If the price to finally have our BS4, is an extra payment. I mean these are cables, we are
looking at a 500$ top top. It's not the end of the world.
This updated post is the first time my confidence in getting the product has been softened.
I prefer to invest more, and not loose the initial investment.
I'd prefer to have a working unit in my hands first (without extras). Only then would I consider investing the extra for those cables.
Friendly Moderator chiming in here...
I've specifically seen one large GB go gloriously wrong with a lot of angry customers camping here for years.
I think it's a good sign that BS is upfront about their situation.
And in that I also see some hope.
the GB I think of (in which I almost took part), the vendor just went black.
Now.
I must remind you that liability claims are not to be posted here
And that reduser (the forum) is not involved in this.
Keep the constructive tone, and I'll let this stay open.
But all the direct anger stuff (if it needs to be said) please let that go into direct mails or on the BS forum.
I can see the need for venting, but here is not the place.
To everyone that who is volunteering to invest more money, congrats on your change of heart, it's quite generous of you, I just can't agree with you. I'm not judging nor am I trying to pick a fight, it's just my opinion.
