  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Best Led Lighting Solutions

I've used the Rosco Litepads for theatrical lighting with great results (they're really low profile and can be hidden in props or placed on the stage floor), I haven't used them on a film/video shoot yet. I want to point out that they don't have as much output as other LED solutions due to the way they are designed. The color rendering index also doesn't seem to be up there but I can see them being very useful to light in tight spaces. Just my 2 cents.

The module is very smart...spot/flood/horizontal/vertical/soft lenses.
Some color correct jelly as well.....dimmable too.

A +- 6000K light

Energy economy 5/1...equivalent 500w power consuming 100w
12v and battery as well.

ah, ok. that`s something I also hate when it happens, those last posts on the page, nobody reads them - ok, except me... :-D

did you check these pads? are they really of the same light quality (in terms of color temp, output etc.) like those from rosco?

Since we don't carry those lights, I can't speak to their photometrics personally. Their website doesn't have too much information in that regard either. On Monday I'll give Luminous Film and Rosco a call. I'll see what I can find out and I'll let you know.

that`s gonna be really fantastic. thanks in advance, it`s really appreciated since I`m highly interested in Rosco`s pads.
 
Yeah that would help. The fellow dvxusers state that it's the same. Glen, from Luminous stated also that it's the same manufacturer when I asked him.

Sorry it took me until today to get back to you all.

I called Rosco, they've never heard of this company. I called Luminous Film, and they're going to send me a detailed sheet from the manufacturer about the photometric info for their lights, which I will forward to Rosco. My contact at Rosco said he would get with his engineer and let me know what the differences are, if any.
 
Just got 2 luminous film panels in the mail. As far as I can tell, they are the exact same as my rosco lite pads. I'll check them for color temp matching tomorrow.
