  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

It's cool, but, for now, rent a different cam, Red's cam will pay itself off in spades, don't mess it up for yourself ... The getting is still good and people are Red Haters out there in the world. Let them hate and then bam, whip out your camera footage and there wont be much they can say. It's just a little time. Soon Red will be so streamlined it's not even funny. Jim and Jarred know what they are doing things are just growing so fast. I guess they sold probably a Billion dollars with of Scarlet alone already. They need a chance to catch up, they've earned it with all the free swag they give their customers - problem is now people expect it.

HIGH DEMAND = back orders.simple stuff. Nobody is more aware of the moving dates than Jarred... bascially calling him a liar in their own forum is just...

I don't know what you guys mean by your Bomb Squad Reps not getting back to you, mine (Brian Scheckelhoff) is a great REP, he has not only gotten back to me, but we have conversed on the phone, and via email many times. Of course I ordered a great deal more than just the SCARLET. We decided that we are going to go all RED equipment, no off brand crap. We eventually will have everything that RED has to offer. Most people complaining on REDUSER have no idea what it takes to run a business this large, that gets a lot of orders in general, but then has to deal with a large influx of orders all at the same time.

Enough to know that they forces productive have, Scarlet produced in a day and how many orders have to escape for knowing how much time we must wait for.

Many user here are happy because Red stuff produce good hardware, that it's true, but i pay for this is not gratis.
I'm an educated person, I always say thanks, also when to thank to me it would have to be the person to which I entrust my money.

You guys are all nuts . That's probably why we like you so much :)

I do apologize for the moving targets with Backorder... our manufacturing today is 5000% times better than what it was a year ago, but we still have a bit more work to do.

We are adding machines.. adding people.. doing our best... and that best will get much better very soon.

Sure... on a one by one basis at our Bombsquad's sole discretion depending on how it got that way.
 
In view of the way people go dark when they're satiated and scream when they're waiting, I just want to say: We've got nothing (bar scarlet stuff) backordered right now, and that makes me extra happy. Add to that being able to get on the phone to Red Europe about occasional cables, accs etc and be told 'yes they're on the shelf, come and get it' is great too.

Is that because you haven't ordered anything :-)

I am still waiting for battery module and Canon mount.

@James: you can work with the old RED bricks and the adapter cable if it's urgent.
 
In the sake of the RED DRIVE people hijacking a backorder thread (start a new thread please guys) lets keep this thread clean so we can easily check updates on BO bits. thanks!

That said, I got my DSMC Side Handle email yesterday and the impeccable Madeline Standish sent them to shipping! Cant remember when I ordered them... but not too long ago - late summer?

anyway, definitely feels like things are gonna rock soon with jim expecting ALL BACKORDERS to be caught up by Feb 2011. That speaks volumes (pun intended!)

5" Touch LCD - out of backorder today.

Bomb EVF - Should be completely out of backorder end of next week.

Modular Assault Plate pack - All orders up to last week should be shipped between now and end of november.

DSMC Tactical Top Plate- Should be completely out of backorder end of next week.

REDMOTE - All orders up to last week should be shipped between now and December 15th.

EPIC-X Stage 2 - All eligible customers will be notified by November 18th

DSMC Side Handle - Out of backorder 3rd week of November.

Epic Canon Mount - Opened up a new line to facilitate demand. Shipping a ton of these daily... All orders up to last week should be shipped between now and December 15th.
