  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DSMC side handle situation...?

Are there any updates on DSMC side handle deliveries? I've had my Scarlet since mid-January and it feels silly to rent Red Bricks and a quickplate for every shoot when I've got a whole pile of Redvolts just waiting to be used.

That's why I have a whole heap of them :)

For my use Redvolts will be quite enough. And they'll be more than enough as soon as the dual battery module becomes available.
 
Got my Quad Battery Module today and it works perfectly. Batteries drain in sequence, are hot-swappable, and with four in the module I got over 2 hours of runtime with my Epic. It's really nice.

I still think the dual will be my module of choice as it's smaller, lighter weight, keeps the length of the camera system down, and is still hot-swappable so lasts for as many VOLTs as you've got on hand. Bricks would be completely dead to me at this moment were it not for needing a P-tap solution for accessories. Let's get that one solved, RED team!! :)

Speaking of which, how's that Dual Modula coming along, Jarred? We'll hit March 1st in two weeks and I'm sure a lot of people want to order it for the right price.
 
There will be a bunch of prototype Dual modules going out to some of our beta testers at the end of March. It all depends on how that testing goes :)

heh heh heh just wait till you actually get to use it :) It really makes a badass package, nice middle of the road solution for runtime and hot swap in a tight little form factor.

Ah, well, in the meantime I can get myself another 4-pack of Redvolts. I just can't stop buying them, it's a "Redvolt fever" :crazy:

Can't Wait! How does one become a beta tester for you guys anyway... :)

I love the revolts, but until I have this module its hard to depend on them. I love small cameras, and I shoot with the side handle a lot, but hot swapping is a necessity for if I am going to use red volts on any of the larger shoots.

Especially if you could insert XXL batteries ;) any info on those?

Excuse me but i don't understand one thing. Talking about SCARLET AL canon mount.

People with more high serial number received everything. #1125 for example
I have the number serial #584 and I did not receive the side handle.

I don't understand. Anyone know why?
