  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Backorder Update January 13

How about the Quick Release Platform (Dovetail) Jarred? Any info on when it'll be out of backorder?

also, can someone please clarify, will it work with the Wooden Camera dovetail plate? http://woodencamera.com/2060-2575-120EX-dovetail
And for some reason RED's is a lot less expensive.... but no specs... is it 12"? I assume it'll work with the Quick Release Dovetail platform? http://www.red.com/store/rail-components/product/dovetail-mounting-plate-long-2

Jarred, Do U think could a Sidehandle ordered the 4th of November be here in Europe for mid february? I've to shoot some scenes on a preproduction for a feature film and I'd like to shoot so much with the Scarlet I'm waitin (allocated and payed..)!!

I guess orders have priority over the Stage upgrades. I received my Stage II EPIC-X on October 26th and still waiting on the DSMC Side Handle. Its kind of strange since the DSMC Side Handle was ordered on October, 18th with the other accessories. Luckily got the REDmote in on January 17th. The Second EPIC-X that we received is still without the 5" Touch Screen and still waiting on it's REDmote.
 
Just found out that because I did not receive/respond to an allocation email on December 15th that I missed delivery of the DSMC Side Handle. Found out the email went to my web host mail filter. What I don't understand is that the item was paid for via wire transfer. Why not just ship it? People at RED you got to understand that yes we want all of our accessories ASAP... especially when we've already paid for them and included the shipping address... a phone call would have been nice. Surely a better system can be put in place.
 
What day is it today?
well I think it's DSMC Module day! Or it might be QUAD battery Module day... does not know for sure, part of the RED excitement..

But if Jared is right it Starts shipping January 19th, today... I have been updating the restore window just about 50 times today...

Right there with you. Hopefully this will end up in the store soon.
 
Remember the there are a ton of people with automatic rights to the adapter module and the Quad battery module so you don't need to go too crazy. The modules will hit the store in a couple hours but will enter backorder status immediately.

Wow, Then it's one of the nights with no sleep again. First nov 3 scarlet night, and now fist module night... Also waiting for WIFI unit night and then dragon morning LOL...

It'll be a dragon night also haha...nothing is ever in the morning at RED it seems haha..

I'm assuming these people are those who have ordered Stage-2 and 3 X's who get these as part of their package correct?

I'v always been reassured by the post you once made saying that you had a D3X sitting on your desk. I figure that's reason enough to keep the faith on the Nikon mount.

Same here! Would love an update on the Leica M mount at some point as well. Found a shop locally that has a ton of used lenses for cheaper than most on Ebay!
 
I would expect further delays on Redmotes. I got an email 9 days ago that my Redmote was ready to ship. As of today it still hadn't shipped. My bomb squad rep informed me that there was a component shortage so now I am back to backorder status. Seems like the goal for Feb 3 out of backorder for Redmote will be pushed back. Can anyone from Red chime in and give more details on this recent issue?
