  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

ASC Magazine RED Ads

Jarred...

I have been wondering about this.
But it is kinda obvious when I see it.

Everything in life changes... so does RED.
Main thing now is to work on perception...
....

Cheers

G

Thanks for the words Gunleik. We still have alot to learn. We still make mistakes. We will never forget all you that continue to stick with us.

We really feel like we are just beginning.

The system that you guys bought into is going to get leaps and bounds better very soon.

Our team feels stronger than ever before.. Soon, the old stuff is going to work better.. The stuff coming is going to take things to the next level.

What Jim and I saw working today will blow your mind... really.

I always wondered why I never saw Red ads in ASC Mag.

I've been collecting ASC Mags since 2008 when I first professionally started working in the industry. I love looking back through my small collection and the first thing I notice are the AD's and they always set the tone for the time period. Much like when I read my comics from 1965, I feel like a kid from the 60's. It's served as a timeline in my early career, this year 2012 I bought into a Scarlet. These AD's will be a chapter in my life.

Today Red releases their first Ads which I really love

"The Smallest Camera Makes the Biggest Images"

It's a bold quote which should be a wake up call. Arri has had much recognition in setting standards through out Cinema History and I have a feeling RED is going to change that if they haven't already.

Keeping true to American roots Technology has always been our leeway much like the cotton-gin effect on this planet.

Resolution, Frame Rates, Workflow all Revolutionary

Jarred I seriously can't wait for what you have in store

Congrats, classy stuff...and Thank you!

I'm sure there must have been a million different slogans y'all were throwing around. I really like the one that won out. It reminds me of the Prometheus quote "Big Things have Small Beginnings".

And to add to my first quick excitement:

RED is changing it's face (at least in some points a bit). These ads are perfectly set up for the ones who don't want to join a rebellion and wear skulls and crossbones tattoos (although I will never understand why you wouldn't! hehehe)
The white background and the simplicity really makes you feel that you're looking at a luxury jewelry or automobile ad. It's not in your face but it's proud. Whoever created these deserves a big pat on the back.

I don't even have the feeling that it's hurting the rebellion image. I feel that this can coexist. Jarred, Jim, RED let me say this: I maybe a small time RED-crook, but I am overly proud to be a part of this.

I really hope for you guys that this works out, and I truly believe that it can! This was a good move and I'm sure it will be worth the effort. Keep at it!

...looking forward to the Hobbit ad. ;)

We are proud to acknowledge the great cinematographers that are shooting RED, and have began a campaign in the ASC magazine recognizing their efforts.. This month issue is just the beginning.. go pick up a copy and check it out.

Here are the first 3.

cool ... :-)

.. Really glad that you guys like it.

We are very fortunate to be in a position to give back to the incredible cinematographers that took a chance on the little guys and used RED.

We don't like it... We love it... And I'l love it even more when RED will be "ACKNOWLEDGING" me... ;)

Nice combination of subtle and effective.

With time, I suggest considering using a picture of a fully functional camera, with all modules, monitor, lens and a mattebox. No cables.
Might be more effective with potential customers to whom small size iz less relevant and to whom stripped small camera head seems less defined or "powerful".
With according tagline accentuating one of other numerous advantages.

I love how simply elegant these are. I get the whole aggressive X games neo military design aesthetic of the cameras and components, but the imagery being showcased in this fashion shows a remarkable affinity for taste as well as the singular design identity of RED's own products. Let the images stand on their own, because they can. Much love, Red folk!

These are truly great and sell the sell with grace and aplomb - would it be at all possible to use them and/or quote them on our rental site? Would that be a violation?
