  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

So Brent said "blasts are daily". Is that saying when they happen they're only once a day or is he saying Scarlet-W's are getting blasted every day now? Sadly I think this is me getting over eager but it's worth a shot!
 
Brent - sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if Ravens are going out daily? Also, have any Raven kits started shipping since the i/o v-lock was "caught up" in theory today?

A blast is going out every business day at this point.

Raven, big production ramp starts on Monday, actually. So, bigger allocation notices should be going out as I am packing for NAB...

thanks for acknowledging Raven, i guess it was the production line of brains that was held up a bit. i guess we probably wont have them in our hands by NAB.
btw, all you need is two changes of underwear and and extra tshirt! :)

Quick question. When you say "Blasted," does that mean notification? If I get the notification and I pay it immediately, can I pick up my camera that day or the next day? Or do I pay first, then wait a few days for "Allocation?"

Or if I get "Blasted," can I just run down to Red Hollywood, pay for it at the store and pick it up immediately?

Gene, I believe it was said in another thread that when you get allocated (through email blasts), it doesn't necessarily mean that your order is ready. It just means that you're right up at the front of the line, and they're just about to prep everything to pack up and ship to you.

Sort of like visiting a restaurant and your order barely hits the chef (although you made your order through your server at the beginning of the meal already). He still has to prep the ingredients, cook it, and then plate before it's ready to be served.

Might still take a day or two before it's fully ready.

just so you know i asked the same question to my rep and the answer is it still takes a day or two to prep and deliver it to red hollywood, but i think you can go to irvine location to get it. but i said, neah, ill wait the day.

I don't think that all the accessories are actually "caught up". I know I'm still waiting for a 4.7" monitor and a V-lock I/O module, but I'm sure they are getting very close.
 
Honeslty is not to bad to get the camera late, so that all the 'bugs' and firmware can be checked before I get mine :) I am really excited about this camera!

I wrote the BombSquad today in the morning. I guess we will get an answer on monday. And see from there how it will work.
